    • An interactive animal communications apparatus accessory device conceals a communications apparatus within a stuffed animal and functionally attaches the communications apparatus to a microphone and speaker allowing a person to interact with another person through the stuffed animal as if the stuffed animal was hearing and speaking. The device includes a stuffed animal and a camera substantially concealed in the stuffed animal and includes a lens exposed to an exterior of the stuffed animal to monitor an area adjacent to the stuffed animal. A speaker is concealed in the stuffed animal. A plug is operationally coupled to each of the camera and the speaker and concealed in the stuffed animal. A transceiver is positionable in the stuffed animal. The plug couples to the transceiver such that the speaker broadcasts sound from an extrinsic device through the transceiver and the transceiver transmits video from the camera to the extrinsic device.

    • An approach is provided for versioning of services and service contracts. According to the approach, when the executable code of a service external to one or more composite applications is generated, first version information is automatically stored in a contract that describes the service. The contract specifies an input interface and an output interface of the service. The first version information stored in the contract specifies a first executable version of the service. When the executable code of the service is re-generated, the first version information stored in the contract is automatically modified into second version information. The second version information specifies a second executable version of the service.

    • A method is provided for maintaining the disinfection of medical equipment, in particular medical endoscopes (10), following processing. The method comprises placing the disinfected equipment (10) in a sealed chamber (12), and subsequently reducing the pressure within the sealed chamber (12) to cause evaporation of residual moisture. Gas scavenger sachets (21) are also provided within the sealed chamber (12) to remove atmospheric oxygen, thus causing a further reduction in the chamber pressure. The method may optionally include a further step of charging the sealed chamber (12) with a disinfectant gas or vapor. The processed medical equipment (10) is then maintained at the desired level of disinfection within the controlled biostatic environment in the sealed chamber (12).
