    • A loading device for CD players is provided, including a tray for receiving a disc. The tray is inside a base, and the tray is driven by a driver inside the base to move along a straight line within the range of the base. One end of the tray has an open support, so that the disc is able to move in the direction parallel with the tray and placed into the support. Each of the facing two side walls of the support is equipped with an elastic retaining element, with the minimum distance between the elastic retaining elements smaller than the diameter of said disc. The locations of the elastic retaining elements are closer to the entrance end of the support than the center of the disc when the disc is entirely placed in the support. That is, the elastic retaining elements are placed within the half outer circle of the disc as to push the disc to move along the tray when the tray moves into the base.

    • An objective lens holder applicable in a pickup head of an optical media device is disclosed. The lens holder overcomes the problems of unstable movement and complicated assembly of the conventional lens holders. The invented lens holder uses four stripe-like resilient supporting arms, which are made from a unitary sheetmetal by a press-cutting and a bending process, to support the lens carrier and the lens. One ends of the supporting arms are settled with a fixing member when the fixing member is resin-molded, and the other ends are linked with the lens carrier. Each supporting arm includes two strips which ensure the supporting arm moving stably in the tracking direction and the focusing direction respectively. The assembly is simplified by the unitary sheetmeetal workings and the resin-molding process.

    • An apparatus for clamping both large and small disks is provided, including a disk tray inside a base, an upper case and two clamping mechanisms above the disk tray and the base. Each clamping mechanism includes a slider and a gripper structure. The gripper structure further includes a first gripper, a second gripper, and a resilient element located between the first and the second grippers. The second gripper includes a first belt-ring and a second belt-ring. When the disk is loaded, under the force of the resilient element, the first belt-ring and the second belt-ring hold the disk onto the disk tray firmly. When the first gripper moves to a specific position of the groove on the upper case, the first gripper causes the second gripper to rotate so that the resilient element stops to exert the force. Hence, the first belt-ring and the second belt-ring rotate upwards so as to complete the loading process. On the other hand, to eject a disk, the resilient element re-exerts force on the first gripper to cause the first belt-ring and the second belt-ring to rotate downwards to hold the disk until the disk is completely ejected to complete the ejecting process.

    • An optical pickup head is provided, including a laser diode set, an optical element set and an optical signal detector. The laser diode set is a laser light source capable of emitting single wavelength, two wavelengths or three wavelengths laser lights. Optical element set includes a low reflectivity beam-splitter and an objective lens. The low reflectivity beam-splitter has an average reflectivity ranging from 10% to 30%. After reflected twice by low reflectivity beam-splitter, the light fed back from recording medium to the laser diode set is reduced to avoid laser noise problem. Moreover, with the optical signal detector having a tilt θ ranging from 3° to 15° to optical axis, the optical signal detector can directly reflect the incident laser light into a different direction so that the reflected light will reduce the feedback light to the laser diode set.

    • An actuator capable of providing movement forces in a first direction, a second direction, and a third direction is provided. The actuator includes two sets of repelling permanent magnets and yokes, a focusing coil, a tracking coil, and a tilting coil. The repelling and attractive fields generated by the permanent magnets enable the coils to generate independent movements in three axial directions. The two sets of permanent magnets are placed in a repelling position, with a small space between the two magnets to generate a field whose magnetic forces repel and attract within the surrounding range. The focusing, tilting and tracking coils are engaged with the lens holder whose movements in the first, second and third directions are determined by the amplitude and direction of the electric current in the focusing, tilting and tracking coils respectively.

The inclination angles with respect to two-axes and the polarization direction of the laser beam are adjusted by rotating the coupling structure of the spherical curved surface, which significantly reduces the time interval of calibration optimization of searching laser beam and also reaches the goal of optimization of light energy characteristics of the laser beam.
