摘要： A control method for bi-stable displaying is provided, using queues for storing coordinates to achieve pipeline parallel processing on display data, thereby increasing display speed. In a preceding stage of the display process, because a plurality of queues may be used for temporarily storing part of the display data which is then reconstructed into complete display data to update a current frame buffer, comparing pixel data and generating driving data can be simultaneously preformed upon a plurality of line segments. Moreover, in a succeeding stage of the display process, a similar process may be performed to update a previous frame buffer, so access time can be reduced and errors caused by overlapping image blocks can also be avoided. Furthermore, the method may be also applied to a timing controller and a bi-stable display device.

摘要： A driving method for a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel for displaying a frame having a first field and a second field on the LCD panel is provided. The driving method includes transmitting horizontal scan lines of the frame to the LCD panel using a line pair method and displaying the frame on the LCD panel using a column inversion method. A first area data and a second area data respectively received are sequentially stored in a first queue and a second queue, respectively. The first area image is displayed on the display panel during a first frame period of a first period, and the second area image is displayed on the display panel during a second first frame period of the first period. After the first period, the first area image on the display panel is in a stable state. The display drive unit generates a waveform signal based on every gray level. The pulse width of the waveform signal relates to the value of the gray level. The waveform signal is then transmitted to a corresponding pixel to drive the pixel to be displayed.

摘要： A device for setting up common voltage is provided. The device includes a voltage-dividing circuit, a coupler, a switch and a testing module. The voltage-dividing circuit divides a DC bias according to a voltage-dividing proportion and produces a common voltage for the coupler. The switch determines whether to transfer the output of the coupler to a display panel according to the output of the testing module. The testing module sends a constant voltage to all the data lines in the display panel and fixes the scan signal period and frame switching rate of the display panel to measure the kickback voltage of the display panel. The testing module adjusts the voltage-dividing proportion of the voltage-dividing circuit according to the kickback voltage. When the common voltage level is equal to the kickback voltage level, the testing module turns on the switch to transfer the common voltage level to the display panel.
