In alternative approaches, frequency converted tunable radiation in the UV is achieved with high efficiency from compact, high beam quality devices.

摘要： There is disclosed an extractor (10) for extracting an elongate body (12) from the ground. The extractor (10) includes a holding assembly (14) operatively adapted to hold the elongate body (12) to be extracted from the ground and a guide assembly (24) operatively associated with the holding assembly (14). The guide assembly (24) includes (i) a guide follower (26) for operative attachment to the holding assembly (14), and (ii) a guide (28) along which the guide follower (26) is caused to move when the elongate body (12) is extracted from the ground. The extractor (10) further includes a drive assembly (30) operatively associated with the guide follower (26). The drive assembly (30) is adapted to be coupled with a hand tool for applying torque to the drive assembly (30). Applying torque to the drive assembly causes the guide follower (26) to move along the guide (28) thereby to extract the elongate body (12) from the ground.

The alarm sequence optionally provides that the apparatus cover may be translucent and/or transparent with a plurality of illuminable elements thereunder providing an alarm visual display. Also provided is a remote control for actuating a projected display of time onto the wall. The apparatus is also a scale for displaying the user's weight. The weight requirement for deactivating the alarm can extend from placing the feet on the apparatus while still in bed or require the user to stand on the apparatus for said period of time. Further provided for is the removal of the alarm clock portion from the floor apparatus.

摘要： A supply valve with a valve housing having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet; a control element which selectively turns the flow of liquid on and off; and a pipe joining assembly. The fluid inlet has a sequentially stepped inner cylindrical surface made up of a first portion having a first diameter at the distal end of the fluid inlet and terminating in a first shoulder, a second portion having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter extending from the first shoulder to a second shoulder, and a third portion having a third diameter smaller than the second diameter extending from the second shoulder to a third shoulder. The pipe joining assembly includes an O-ring seal, a protection ring, a lock ring, a release ring, and a cartridge ring having a predetermined thickness. The release ring, the lock ring, and the protection ring are mounted in the cartridge ring to form a cartridge ring assembly; the cartridge ring assembly is disposed in the first portion which extends axially for a distance substantially equal to the thickness of the cartridge ring when the cartridge ring assembly is mounted in the first portion; the O-ring seal is disposed in the second portion; the cartridge ring assembly and the O-ring seal have an inner diameter substantially equal to the third diameter; and the third diameter is substantially equal to the outer diameter of a pipe to be inserted into the inlet with a press fit.

摘要： The armature of an automotive starter motor has a protective collar for its commutator. The collar has an annular disc body that is bonded to the rear wall of the commutator, and it has a projecting rim which overlays the marginal free ends of the bars of the commutator so as to restrain them from a tendency to peel or lift away under the strong forces developed as the armature is rotated in cranking a motor vehicle engine. The body of the collar also has a rearwardly extending hub provided with grease-filled cavities, whereby the hub serves as a lubricated thrust washer and spacer for the armature relative to the end frame of the starter's housing, as the armature rotates.
