    • A distributed packet processing apparatus capable of distributing packet load across a plurality of packet processing engines is provided. The distributed packet processing apparatus includes a plurality of processing engines each configured to process allocated packets, a first tag generating unit configured to allocate an input packet to a processing engine, which has a processing engine index corresponding to a tag index for the input packet, among the plurality of processing engines, a second tag generating unit configured to calculate a tag index for an output packet, and an index conversion unit configure to convert the tag index for the output packet to one processing engine index among a plurality of processing indexes for the plurality of the processing engines and allocates the output packet to a processing engine having the one processing engine such that loads are distributed among the plurality of processing engines.

    • Provided are a method for Ternary Contents Address Memory (TCAM) table management and a computer-readable recording medium for recording a program that implements the method. The method includes the steps of: a) dividing a memory area of TCAM into fixed-size blocks depending on priority to configure a lookup table; b) assigning a priority to each routing entry being inputted to the lookup table based on prefix length; c) storing the routing entry having been assigned with the priority in a lookup table block of a corresponding priority; and d) when a modification occurs in the lookup table, modifying the lookup table to maintain an arranged state for a longest prefix match.

    • A distributed resources sharing method using weighted sub-domain table of sub-domains in a GMPLS optical network is provided. The distributed resources sharing method includes; connecting working paths to an optical network according to a request of a subscriber; calculating a weighting factor for measurement of concentration of the sub-domains including the working paths by using information on connected working paths and information on backup paths; setting up the backup paths by using the weighting factors; and allocating resources in response to connection request at the time of setting up the backup path and sharing the allocated resources. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent a waste of idle resources caused from concentration of allocated resources. In addition, since the information of the idle resources in the network can be sensed at the time of selecting the backup paths for the previously allocated working paths by using a weight factor, the shared resources can be distributed, so that it is possible to maximize efficiency of the resources.
