摘要： A digital broadcasting system and a method for transmitting and receiving digital broadcast signal are disclosed. The method of processing a digital broadcast signal comprises encoding signaling information for mobile data, forming data groups including mobile data, a plurality of long known data sequences, a plurality of segmented known data sequences and the encoded signaling information, interleaving data in the data groups, transmitting the digital broadcast signal including the data groups having the interleaved data, and wherein the signaling information includes concatenation information indicating whether the segmented known data sequences are concatenated between the data groups included in the digital broadcast signal.

摘要： A method of transmitting a broadcast signal includes encoding mobile service data to build a Reed-Solomon (RS) frame according to an RS frame mode, wherein the mobile service data is either a mobile service data of a base layer or a mobile service data of the base layer and at least one enhancement layer, wherein each layer is specified by a layer identifier, wherein a layer identifier value of the base layer is set to 0 and a layer identifier value of the at least one enhancement layer starts from 1; and encoding signaling data, wherein the signaling data includes fast information channel (FIC) data and transmission parameter channel (TPC) data, and the FIC data includes information for rapid mobile service acquisition.

摘要： A digital television (DTV) transmitting/receiving system and a method of processing digital broadcast data in the DTV transmitting/receiving system are disclosed. The DTV transmitting system includes a randomizer for randomizing enhanced data, an encoder for encoding each bit of the randomized enhanced data at a coding rate of ½ in order to output data symbols, a symbol to byte converter for converting the data symbols to data bytes, a deinterleaver for deinterleaving the data bytes, a Reed-Solomon (RS) encoder for RS-coding enhanced data packets including the deinterleaved data bytes to add RS parity data, a data interleaver for interleaving data of the RS-coded enhanced data packets, a trellis encoder for trellis coding the interleaved data at a coding rate of ⅔, and a transmitting unit for transmitting a digital broadcast signal including the trellis-encoded data.

摘要： A receiving system and a method of processing broadcast signals in the receiving system are disclosed. The receiving system includes a tuner, a known sequence detector, a carrier recovery unit, a baseband processor, and a channel equalizer. The tuner receives a broadcast signal of a passband including a data group. Herein, the data group comprises mobile service data, a plurality of known data sequences, and signaling data. The known sequence detector estimates an initial frequency offset and detects a position of each known data sequence based on the known data sequence having the first data pattern. The carrier recovery unit acquires an initial frequency synchronization using the initial frequency offset estimated by the known sequence detector and estimates a residual frequency offset based upon the known data sequences having the second data pattern so as to perform carrier recovery. The baseband processor performs complex multiplication between the received broadcast signal and an output of the carrier recovery unit, thereby converting the passband broadcast signal to a baseband broadcast signal.
