摘要： An oral care composition having enhanced flavor release comprising an orally acceptable carrier containing a first flavor and a multilayer film for extended or delayed flavor release, the multilayer film including at least a center layer containing a second flavor, the center layer positioned between two outer surface layers, each surface layer including a release modulating agent, the first and second flavor being the same or different. The film is adapted to adhere to an oral cavity surface and the outer surface layers may comprise a mucoadhesive polymer, e.g. carboxy polymethylene, polycarbophil or polyvinyl pyrrolidone, and a film forming polymer, eg. hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose (HPMC). Suitable release modulating agents include HPMC and polyvinyl acetate. The carrier may be a toothpaste or mouthwash.

摘要： Contact lenses are disinfected by utilizing an N-alkyl-2-pyrrolidone as the microbicide. The efficacy of prior art microbicides such as chlorhexidene gluconate are enhanced by the addition of the pyrrolidones of this invention. The pyrrolidones suitable for use in the practice of this invention are the C.sub.8 -C.sub.20 N-alkyl-2-pyrrolidones. Preferably the alkyl moiety is octyl, decyl or dodecyl. The pyrrolidones can be utilized in solution or made available as a water soluble tablet.

摘要： An auction method for specifying catalog contents for packaging and pushing to an electronic auction. The auction method is implemented in an electronic commerce exchange. The auction method includes the steps of specifying catalog contents for packaging for an auction operation hosted on the electronic exchange. Initial terms for the sale of the contents are then specified. The auction is then automatically initiated using the previously specified contents and the previously specified terms. The auction proceeds with the receiving of bids for the contents from remote bidders. The bids are received via a distributed computing network into which the electronic commerce exchange is communicatively coupled. A winning bid is selected by determining a most competitive bid out of the bids received for the contents. A sale of the contents is then completed based upon the terms of the most competitive bid.
