摘要： An injection mold for making a polygonal plastic article having a closed bottom and an open top is disclosed. A first mold section corresponds to the exterior dimensions of the bottom wall and a portion of the contiguous side walls of the article while a second mold section composed of plural elements defines the interior surface of the article. Plural side wall elements are movable relative to both of the mold sections from an open position spaced from both sections to a closed position wherein the side wall members interlock with both mold sections to form the mold enclosure. Linkage elements interconnect various of the mold elements to provide a coordinated movement. Other features are disclosed.

摘要： Bland caseinates are produced by heating a solution of an alkali or alkaline earth caseinate and an alkaline earth salt to a temperature of at least 140*F at a temperature increase of about 4* per minute. A coagulum forms and is separated from the mother liquid. After washing and drying, the coagulum is free of objectionable odors and taste normally associated with caseinates. The bland caseinates may be incorporated in substantial amounts in food products. The preferred caseinate is sodium caseinate and the preferred alkaline earth salt is magnesium chloride.

摘要： A process for electrostatically applying a multilayered coating on a substrate in one operation or step is disclosed, wherein a mixture of powders of at least two different coating materials is used as the coating composition, each powder, in the case of nonconducting powders, differing from the others in dielectric constant by a factor of at least 0.1, and the powders being of substantially different specific gravities, with the components having the lowest dielectric constant value having the lowest specific gravity value. At least one of the powders will be a powder of a film-forming non-conductive organic or inorganic polymer. Upon electrostatically applying a coating of this powdered composition to a conductive substrate which has a neutral charge or a charge opposite from that of the coating composition powder particles, the powders stratify into distinct layers of different compositions. The powders adhere to the substrate because of contact or static electrification for a reasonable length of time and until at least one of the powders can be cured or fused to form the final coating. Thus, for instance, in only one pass with an electrostatic spray gun, a protective coating of superimposed layers of zinc, epoxy, and polyethylene can be applied to a conductive substrate.

摘要： A double-acting proportioning pump having a receiving chamber and a mixing chamber for accurately mixing and delivering two fluids such as a liquid and air in a system. The double-acting pump includes a single stationary piston and reciprocating cylinder whereby the fluids are conveyed and mixed by the alternate expansion and contraction of each pump chamber, with one of the fluids passing from the receiving chamber to the mixing chamber through the single piston element. The pump is cylindrical with end cap members at each end thereof; the piston is disposed between the end caps and the two pump chambers are each defined by an end cap member and one radial end face of the piston. Cyclical valve means alternately open and close the passage through which one of the fluids communicates with the receiving chamber. Adjustable air inlet means vary the quantity of air admitted to the mixing chamber, thereby varying the ratio of mixed ingredients in the final product.
