摘要： A pump for moving liquids has an elastomeric housing disposed around the pump. The housing has at least four sides which are primarily planar, whereby the pump can be supported on the bottom of one of the flat sides by orienting the pump so that one of the primarily planar sides is down. This allows the pump to remain in such chosen orientation and the elastomeric housing, which is typically rubber, will substantially prevent vibration of the pump to be transmitted to the surroundings of the pump.

摘要： A controller (24) is provided to selectively release an initiator (12) having first and second members (14,16) that clampingly engage an object (18) preventing it from moving in an urged direction. A spring wire coil (20) holds the members (14,16) tightly about the object, one coil end affixed to one of the members and the other coil end is held by a pair of link wire loops (82,86) of the controller (24) which is also removably secured to one of the members (14,16) by a bolt (36). When it is desired to release the object (18) an electric current is passed through the link wire loops (82,86) of sufficient magnitude to cause the loops to break, releasing the coil (20) to unwind and, in turn, release the object for urged movement.

摘要： The present invention provides a convenient way to filter water in a body of water. The invention combines an encloseable container with an internal pump producing cyclonic action, with two different types of filters. One type of filtering consists of layers of varied porosity, one layer filtering only very fine debris, while the other layers blocking progressively large debris. The other type of filtering involves stacked discs placed to aid in further filtering of the water in the chamber of the cylinder. Water flows around the bottom disc, through holes in the second disc, and around the third disc before approaching the stacked filters of varied porosity. An internal ultra-violet light helps control algae in the water.
