摘要： An ear mounted speaker assembly provides improved internal and external stability of a “in-the-ear” headset. A housing containing a speaker further contains an extender, audio portion and electrical compartment. The extender is adapted to rest in the intertragic notch of the ear. The audio portion is mounted to the extender and is of greater width than the extender. The audio portion is adapted to be positioned within the lower concha behind the tragus and antitragus of the ear. The compressible retainer extends from the surface of the housing and presses against the upper concha of the ear. The strut extends from the lower surface of the housing below the extender and extends downward outside the intertragic notch and presses against skin to stabilize the speaker assembly within the ear. Compressible retainers may be interchangeable and may come in a kit containing a plurality of interchangeable compressible retainers of a variety of shapes.

摘要： A portable computer and method of operation thereof. The portable computer includes: (1) a first chassis portion hingedly coupled to a second chassis portion by first and second bulkheads to allow relative rotation between a closed position and an open position, (2) a display screen associated with the first chassis portion, (3) data processing and storage circuitry contained within the second chassis portion and coupled to the display screen via a cable located proximate a hinge structure coupling the first and second chassis portions and (4) a keyboard coupled to the second chassis portion and the data processing and storage circuitry and including: (4a) a first keyboard portion pivotally coupled to a first location on the second chassis portion for rotation relative thereto, the first keyboard portion supporting a first plurality of keys aligned along a first axis, (4b) a second keyboard portion pivotally coupled to a second location on the chassis for rotation relative thereto, the second keyboard portion supporting a second plurality of keys aligned along a second axis, and (4c) a baseplate having a plurality of peripheral tabs aligning with corresponding slots formed in the second chassis portion, the first and second keyboard portions coupled to the baseplate.

摘要： A bicycle helmet is disclosed having a flexible, articulated member depending from the rear of the helmet, providing a closer fit to an individual wearer's head and improving stability of the helmet on the head, particularly for mountain bike riding. The articulated member contacts the wearer's head beneath the occipital region and applies a forward and upward pressure against the head. The general embodiment of the invention includes an elastic strap stretching from one side of the helmet, across the back of the articulated member, to the opposite side of the helmet. Adjusting this strap allows the wearer to adjust the forward and upward pressure exerted by the articulated member on the wearer's head.
