摘要： A volar distal radius plate includes a shaft and a head. The head includes a radial side that seats below the volar rim, and an ulnar side with two extending tabs that provide a buttress support to ulnar fragments from the volar rim. The tabs are contoured to be atraumatic to the overlying soft tissue. The tabs can be readily re-orientated to better approximate the volar rim and provide close support to the volar fragments. Each tab includes a single hole specifically sized to closely receive a K-wire in a fixed angle orientation, and which permits the K-wire to apply a bending load to a tab in situ to bend the tab about a lower recess between the tab and the remainder of the head. Therefore, the plate does not require a dedicated bender. The tabs can also accommodate sutures.

摘要： A torque-limiting fastener driver for driving a bone fastener into bone includes a handle supporting a driver shaft. The driver shaft includes limited components which are designed to provide feedback to a user regarding the applied torsional force. In addition, the driver shaft is designed to controllably fail before any potential uncontrolled failure of the distal driving tip. This prevents application of too much torque and controlled design of the shape and size of the failed components.

摘要： A bone fixation system including a plate and a set of fixation locking screw. The plate defines a set of locking screw holes each having an internal thread. Each respective locking screw has a head with an external structure that is adapted to self-tap into the internal thread of a given locking screw hole to secure the respective first-type fixation locking screw at an surgeon directed angle relative to the plate. This angle is defined during forcible insertion and rotation of the respective locking screw into the given screw hole. The system may also include unidirectional locking screws.

The plates are structured to permit independent reconfiguration of holes of the plates relative to a longitudinal axis and are configured to orient fasteners to interdigitate with holes displaced along the longitudinal axis. 摘要： The present invention is directed to a prosthesis and method for treating, repairing, and/or replacing an abdominal aortic aneurysm. The prosthesis includes a coiled stent comprised of shape memory material having first and second anchoring zones and an intermediate zone. The prosthesis also includes graft material engaging at least a portion of the stent. During delivery of the prosthesis, the stent is in a substantially straight longitudinal configuration, and after delivery of the prosthesis the stent is returned to a coiled configuration. The diameter of the prosthesis may be adjusted by controlling the degree to which the stent is coiled.
