摘要： Disclosed is a newly identified secreted molecule, identified herein as “monocyte, granulocyte, and dendritic cell colony stimulating factor” (MGD-CSF), the polypeptide sequence, and polynucleotides encoding the polypeptide sequence. Also provided is a procedure for producing the polypeptide by recombinant techniques employing, for example, vectors and host cells. Additionally, procedures are described to modify the disclosed novel molecules of the invention to prepare fusion molecules. Also disclosed are methods for using the polypeptides and active fragments thereof for treatment of a variety of diseases, including, for example, cancer, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, infectious diseases, and recurrent pregnancy loss.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for an application modification framework used in an integrated technology platform are shown, which allows hot deployment of modifications, including a modification component, a hot deployment component, and a package manager component. The framework provides various editors to allow a developer of the base application or a custom client application to edit files and features associated with the application. Managers are provided to control each of the editors and for maintenance of historical information to allow auditing and modification monitoring. Hot deployment controls the ability of the user to implement modifications and changes, wherein changes are identified as to origin and purpose, allowing smart debug to identify if error(s) occurred during custom modification, base modification or otherwise.

摘要： Methods for reducing surface adsorption of biological materials to the walls of microfluidic conduits in microscale devices are provided. In an example of the methods, one or more colloidal-size particles, such as colloidal silica particles, are flowed in a fluid within the microfluidic conduit in the presence of one or more adherent biological materials (such as one or more proteins, cells, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, lipids and the like) to adsorb to the materials and prevent them from binding to the capillary walls of the microfluidic conduit. Other adsorption inhibition agents such as detergents and nonaqueous solvents can be used alone or in combination with colloidal particles to reduce surface adsorption in microfluidic conduits.
