    • Service extraction and application composition may include preprocessing and instrumenting an existing application that is to be converted to a service-oriented application. The existing application may be executed to generate traces related to a runtime behavior of services related to the existing application. The traces may be used to generate calling code related to the services related to the existing application. Representational state transfer (REST) application programming interfaces (APIs) that include the calling code to call the services related to the existing application may be generated. Refactored code for the existing application may be generated for invocation of the services related to the existing application by the REST APIs.

    • Preparing a content package by determining a requesting user profile based on the requesting user identity. This includes calculating an inclusion value for a content file based on at least one factor. The factor may be a social networking factor. The social networking factor is based on a profile attribute linking the requesting user identity to at least one friend user identity and a content rating attribute linking the content file to the friend profile. Other factors are a content aging factor based on a content age value and a request length factor based on a content length value.     • Mobile device based workload distribution may include determining whether a processing requirement for a workload exceeds an operational threshold of an associated mobile device, and detecting, in response to a determination that the processing requirement for the workload exceeds the operational threshold of the associated mobile device, a performance degradation of the associated mobile device.
