摘要： A toothbrush includes a head portion (10) having a bristle tufting surface; a grip portion (30) disposed on a rear end side from the head portion; a neck portion (20) disposed between the bristle tufting surface (11) and the grip portion; and a sensing portion (70) for sensing that an external force in a first direction orthogonal to the bristle tufting surface exceeds a threshold value. A reversal portion (80) connects a first region and a second region, and snaps, buckles, and reverses as the head portion is displaced on a rear surface side due to the external force exceeding the threshold value. An elastic deformation portion (90) connects the first region and the second region, and elastically deforms at least up to the external force at which the reversal portion snaps, buckles, and reverses.

摘要： An optical device and systems using an optical device are provided, where the optical device may be configured for collimating incoming light rays. The optical device may include a host medium substantially comprised of a transparent material and an array of substantially transparent structures embedded within the host medium. The structures of the array each include a convex side presented to the incoming light rays and a concave side that passes light rays through toward the output face of the host medium, collimating the rays. Multiple stages of arrays may be provided in the optical device, typically with lengthening aspect ratios and increasing indexes of refraction in a direction from the input face toward the output face. The systems may use the optical device for using an exterior light to illuminate an interior space in a building or to generate power.

According to an aspect of the invention, a device includes a first strap that has a first loop shape, a second strap that has a second closed loop shape defining a fixed opening, and a third strap that has a third closed loop shape. A first portion of the first strap is affixed to or integral with the second strap, a second portion of the first strap is arranged to be movable within the fixed opening defined by the second closed loop shape, the second portion of the first strap is affixed to or integral with the third strap, and a first adjustable opening within the first loop shape is configured to be adjusted by changing a relative position of the second portion of the first strap and the fixed opening defined by the second closed loop shape.

摘要： A custom footwear sole component may have an upper surface conforming to a lower surface of an underfoot component. A method of making the custom sole component includes detecting a shape of a lower surface of the underfoot component. An upper surface of the sole component may be designed that has an upper surface conforming to the detected shape of the lower surface of the underfoot component. The sole-component upper-surface design may conform to three-dimensional geometrical surface data describing an as-worn shape of the lower surface of the underfoot component. Portions of the upper surface of the sole component may extend beyond an upper surface of the underfoot component to form with the underfoot component a combined continuous upper surface. The designed sole component and custom footwear may then be manufactured.

摘要： A data processing system for generating predictive maintenance models is disclosed, including one or more processors, a memory, and a plurality of instructions stored in the memory. The instructions are executable to receive a historical dataset relating to each system of a plurality of systems, the historical dataset including maintenance data and operational data. The instructions are further executable to evaluate correlation between each of a plurality of operational data features and maintenance events of the maintenance data, using a supervised machine learning classification model. The instructions are further executable to display a quantitative result of the evaluation for each operational data feature in a graphical user interface, receive a selection of one or more operational data features of the plurality of operational data features, and generate a predictive maintenance model using the selected one or more operational data features according to a machine learning method.

摘要： A control assembly for controlling a speed or torque of operation of an electric device includes a control assembly housing, a magnetic sensor, a magnetic element; and an actuator. The actuator moves relative to the control assembly and, responsive to that movement, the magnetic sensor and magnetic element are moved relative to each other between a first position and a second position so that the magnetic sensor senses a first magnetic field reading when in the first position and senses a second magnetic field reading when in the second position. A control module is operably connected to the magnetic sensor and configured for controlling the electric device, and a magnetic shielding element is positioned within the control assembly housing to alleviate a magnetic signal source external to the control assembly from interfering with the sensing by the magnetic sensor.
