    • An engine includes a balancer shaft that is supported at its both ends through bearings disposed within an engine crankcase. The balancer shaft lies generally parallel with a crankshaft and includes balancer weights, which are provided generally at the ends of the balancer shaft. At least one of the balancer weights is made up of first and second weight portions. The first and second weight portions are disposed on opposite sides of the corresponding bearing. In this manner, the bending moment on the shaft is reduced and, consequently, the balancer shaft can have a smaller diameter to reduce the size of the crankcase.

    • A watercraft has steering force detection sections. Each steering force detection section includes a pressure receiving section. The pressure receiving sections are spaced from each other and are in the vicinity of a steering shaft. A pressing member is coupled to the steering shaft. The pressing member can press on at least one of the pressure receiving sections when the steering handlebars are rotated to a maximum steering angle. A received pressure detection section detects the pressure applied to the pressure receiving section. The pressure receiving section and the received pressure detection section are coaxially mounted in a pressure receiving section casing and a detection section casing. A guide tube can engage the pressure receiving section and the received pressure detection section. The guide tube is formed with ribs and grooves. The pressure receiving section has a pressure receiving member, a bolt, a plain washer, and a spring member.

A front side of a seat is partitioned with a space recessed to a lower side. The inside of a vehicle body cover is partitioned with a center tunnel. An engine unit is supported by a vehicle body frame on a lower side of the recessed space. The engine unit includes a transmission case having a belt chamber containing the V-belt continuously variable transmission. A footrest is arranged on an outer side in a vehicle width direction of the transmission case. An intake duct that guides air for cooling the V-belt type continuously variable transmission is disposed on an outer side in a vehicle width direction of the center tunnel and on an upper side of the transmission case.
