    • There is provided a wireless power transmitting device which can detect relative positions of a power transmitting coil and a power receiving coil with a simple configuration, and reduce cost of components. The wireless power transmitting device has: a power transmitting coil which supplies power to a power receiving coil by way of electromagnetic induction; an excitation coil which excites the power receiving coil; a plurality of detecting coils which are arranged around a center of the power transmitting coil; and notifying units, and each of the detecting coils has a shape which widens apart from the center of the power transmitting coil, and the notifying units notify relative positions of the power transmitting coil and the power receiving coil by detecting an echo signal produced in the power receiving coil through the plurality of detecting coils.

    • The present invention provides a dielectric waveguide resonator comprising a pair of rectangular parallelepiped-shaped dielectric blocks being in contact with each other through respective contact surfaces thereof. The dielectric waveguide resonator has an outer periphery coated with an electrically conductive film except for the contact surfaces, and is configured to resonate in a TE mode. A probe composed of an electrically conductive film is formed on at least one of the contact surface. Thus, it becomes possible to provide a dielectric waveguide resonator having a simple structure, requiring no adjustment structure, and comprising a structure for conversion between a dielectric waveguide and a coaxial line.

    • Process for producing a surface-mount inductor. A forming die assembly comprises a lower die, a first upper die having three peripheral side surfaces and one opening, and a second upper die for closing the first upper die opening, thereby defining a cavity therein. The coil is formed by winding a wire and processing its led-out end such that it contacts with a side surface of the first and second upper dies. The coil is placed in the cavity from the open side of the first upper die such that its led-out end contacts with a side surface of the first and second upper dies. The coil is sealed with a sealant containing a magnetic powder while the first and second upper dies are clamped together, to form the core. An external electrode is formed on the core and the led-out end of the coil is connected to the external electrode.

    • A method of producing a surface-mount inductor by encapsulating a coil with an encapsulation material containing a resin and a filler using a mold die assembly is provided. In the method, a tablet and a coil are used. The tablet is prepared by preforming the encapsulation material into a shape having a flat plate-shaped portion and a pillar-shaped convex portion on a peripheral thereof. The coil is a wound conductive wire having a cross-section of rectangular-shape. The coil is placed on the tablet to allow both ends of the coil to extend along an outer side surface of the pillar-shaped convex portion of the tablet. The coil and the encapsulation material are integrated together while clamping the both ends of the coil between an inner wall surface of the mold die assembly and the outer side surface of the pillar-shaped convex portion of the tablet, to form a molded body. External electrodes are formed on a surface of or around an outer periphery of the molded body in such a manner that the external electrodes are electrically connected to the both ends of the coil at least a portion of which is exposed to the surface of the molded body.

    • A coil component, in which a space on an outer periphery of a winding interposed between a pair of flange portion is coated with a resin with magnetic powder, has a problem of long-term reliability that a thermosetting resin expands and contracts due to change in a temperature and the flange portions are fatigued to be broken. An object of the present invention is to provide the coil component of which core is hardly broken even when the resin with magnetic powder expands and contracts and a method of manufacturing the same. In order to solve the above-described problem, the method of manufacturing the coil component according to one embodiment of the present invention is a method of manufacturing a coil component including a drum-shaped core including a winding core portion and a pair of flange portions provided on both ends in an axial direction of the winding core portion, and a winding wound around the winding core portion, including applying a mold releasing agent for providing a gap on at least one of opposed surfaces of the pair of flange portions, winding the winding around the winding core portion, applying a resin with magnetic powder formed of a thermosetting resin to a space on an outer periphery of the winding interposed between the pair of flange portions, and thermally curing the resin with magnetic powder.
