摘要： A device for removing tufts of fibers from a compressed bale of textile fibers comprises an opener roller with teeth on its periphery to remove the fiber flocks and convert them to the desired flocculent form. A back-stripper roller then removes the insufficiently opened flocks from the opener roller after which the opened flocks are removed from the opener roller by a stripper roller. The insufficiently opened flocks are returned to the opener roller where they are compressed by an oscillating panel against the opener roller causing the teeth on the opener roller to again take up and flocculate the insufficiently opened flocks.

摘要： A process and apparatus for regulating the supply of fibrous material fed to processing machines includes means for determining the density of the fibrous material as it passes through a hopper and for adjusting the rate of feed of the fibrous material into the hopper in response to the density determination whereby the fibrous material may be maintained at a predetermined density. The density determination may be made either by a movable wall of the hopper which moves in response to variations in the amount of fibrous material contained in the hopper or by directing an air stream through fibrous material in the hopper and measuring the air pressure change caused by variations in the density of the fibrous material.

摘要： A device for opening or shredding bales of compressed fibrous material. The apparatus includes an elongated chamber with a series of opening or shredding elements positioned in spaced relationship along the bottom of the chamber. Means such as an endless belt or vacuum tube disposed adjacent the shredding elements move the loose fibers to the next process operation. A feeding mechanism is used to move the bales into one end of the chamber and in one longitudinal direction along a path within the chamber. A pressure member rides on the bales and provides a downward force to provide positive contact between the bales and the shredding elements. The shredding elements are mounted on a reciprocating carriage moving in the longitudinal direction of the chamber to effect removal of fibers from the bales.

摘要： This apparatus is for feeding winding spools to a pair of sideby-side winding rollers of a fleece or fiber producing machine for the formation of storage rolls of textile or fiber material. The device comprises a storage magazine for the individual spools, a pivotal carrier for delivering individual spools from a ready position to a position upon the winding rollers after the previously formed roll has been removed, and a conveyor means for transferring the winding spools from the storage magazine to the pivotal carrier for the subsequent transfer to the winding rolls. The entire device can be mounted on wheels to render the machine portable to effect easy maintenance of both the feed apparatus and the winding machine.

摘要： A device having a pivotally mounted load sensing means and a motor actuating means responsive to movement of the load sensing means is provided. The device regulates the feeding of material to a processing machine. The motor actuating means is for switching on and off a flow of material to be fed to the processing machine.
