摘要： A high inertia cooling fan for a power device driven by an electric motor is provided. The fan includes a generally circular body of insulating material, e.g., plastic, including a hub to permit the fan to be mounted on the motor shaft, an annular flange extending radially outward from the hub, and a plurality of fan blades at the periphery of the annular flange. A weight of relatively heavy material, e.g., metal, is secured to the annular flange between the hub and the fan blades to increase the inertia of the fan. The body of insulating material allows the fan to serve as an insulation barrier between the electric motor and other electrically conductive components of the power device, and the weight provides increased inertia to allow the fan to act as a flywheel to reduce vibrations in the operation of the device.

摘要： A rotary hammer having a rotation stop control trigger mounted adjacent to one end of a torque handle assembly, the torque taking handle assembly and the trigger being capable of being disposed in various positions on the housing of the rotary hammer. The rotation stop control trigger engages a driven clutch element which is keyed on an output shaft and is longitudinally slidable about the output shaft, the output shaft being in turn mounted so that its axis is parallel to the axis of rotation of the tool holder of the rotary hammer. The rotation stop control trigger is pivotally mounted in mounting means which also supports the torque taking handle, and the mounting means can be shifted to various selected fixed positions about the axis of the output shaft.

摘要： A trigger mechanism for a hand-operated power tool includes a trigger and a manually operable locking device which provides an automatic lock-off feature to normally lock the trigger in its inoperative position, a manual unlock feature to permit the trigger to be unlocked for movement between its inoperative and operative positions, and a manual lock-on feature to permit the trigger to be locked in its operative position. The locking device is capable of two (2) distinct modes of movement, a first mode which permits the trigger to be unlocked for movement between its inoperative and operative positions for manual control, for example, on-off operation of the power tool and a second mode which permits the trigger to be locked in its operative position for continuous operation of the tool. A positive intentional action by an operator is required to shift the locking device from its first mode of movement to its second mode of movement to prevent inadvertent movement of the locking device to its lock-on position. Furthermore, the locking device can be shifted to its second mode of movement only after the trigger is in its operative position.
