The stent mounting and dismounting assembly moves the stent into the scale assembly after the stent has been dismount from the stent support.

摘要： A method and apparatus for counting nominally identical articles employs weighing apparatus, which comprises a load hod (102) for holding a number of articles to be weighed and a load transducer (20) responsive to loading of the hod (102) to produce a derived electrical signal indicative of the apparent weight of articles in the hod (102). The signal is susceptible to fluctuation as a result of local air currents acting on the hod (102) or on the articles contained therein. The transducer derived signal is filtered to extract a component signal representative of such fluctuation. After further processing, the filtered component signal is used to correct the original transducer signal thereby to indicate the true weight of articles in the hod (102). The number of articles in the hod (102) is then determined by dividing the true weight indication by an expected average weight of an article. Fluctuations in the transducer signal due to air currents may also be removed by a system of validation of the signals depending on whether or not they are within range limits based on a running average.

摘要： In order to determine the dielectric constant of a layer deposited on a semiconductor wafer (2), the density of the layer is obtained. To obtain that density, the wafer (2) without the layer is weighed in a weighing chamber (4) in which a weighing pan (7) supports the wafer on a weighing balance. The weight of the wafer is determined taking into account the buoyancy exerted by the air on the wafer (2). Then the layer is deposited on the wafer (2) and the weighing operation repeated. Alternatively a reference wafer may be used. If the material of the layer is known, the weight of the layer can be used to derive its density using a thickness measurement. Alternatively, if the density is known, the thickness can be obtained.

A radiopaque object is embedded in surgical sponges so that a scanning device can detect and count a large number of the sponges within a container. The container is designed to minimize contact with the sponges by humans. In addition, a surgical team can insure that no surgical sponge is left in a patient without performing the messy and time-consuming job of individually counting sponges as they are entered and disposed of from the surgical site.

摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for forming a package with heat tack seals for a slice of a food item. A web of thermoplastic material is first formed into a tubular arrangement with a longitudinal heat tack seal. To form the tubular arrangement, means are provided for folding a continuous web of thermoplastic material into a tube and for continuously forming a heat seal along the longitudinal face of the folded web. The food item which has been formed into a soft mass, is then inserted into the tubular member and the tubular member is flattened to form a thin film tube. Means are provided for forming a heat tack cross-seal which is disposed substantially transverse to the longitudinal forward moving direction of the web.
