    • A pipeline pig (1), and method for installing a liner into a pipework, the pipeline pig comprises longitudinal inner (7) and outer (6) walls, and end walls (10, 12), said inner and outer walls being of substantially annular arrangement in transverse section, the pipeline pig being such that, in use, space enclosed by said walls is filled with fluid, and when a pressurising fluid is applied to the rearward end of the pipeline pig the pig advances through the pipeline by way of substantially radial portions of the walls moving in respective endless loops. The pipeline pig exerts a radially outward pressure to a liner (16) so as to urge said liner against an inner surface (40) of the pipework. The inventive pipeline pig can also be used to clear unwanted material from a pipework.

    • A plumbing tool for providing a passageway through a blockage, such as a test cap or other blockage, in a fluid-carrying line. During the rough-in plumbing phase of construction, the drain pipe leading from the plumbing system in a building to the city sewer main in the street is positively sealed off by a test cap welded in the pipe at the location of the clean-out. Pressurizing the rough-in plumbing to test the same can then proceed knowing that if any leaks occur, they are in the branch plumbing on the building side of the test cap and not at or in the test cap. Following successful completion of the initial test, the top-out plumbing is completed, leaving the test cap welded in the clean-out or drain pipe. After the roof vents are in, the top-out test of the plumbing system is made, again knowing that if the system shows any leaks, they are the result of a failure in the plumbing work and not a failure of the test cap. After the plumbing system has passed final test and inspection, a special tool constructed in accordance with the present invention is inserted down the clean-out to penetrate and ream-out the test cap, so that the drain pipe is at substantially its normal inside diameter and provides a relatively full opening through which the waste can flow to the city sewer main in the street. The tool is also useful for cutting through other blockages in the line.

    • The present disclosure sets forth a pipeline pig which is formed of two primary dimensions and two primary components. It is made with a set of N disks where N is preferably 6, 7, or 8 and the disks are all provided with a common thickness and common diameter. The thickness is about 10% of the pipe ID while the diameter is about 105% to about 110% of pipe ID. The excess size enables wiping of the inside surface of the pipeline. Importantly, when the disks are folded back, they are spaced sufficiently along the pig so that folded back disks each individually flatten and do not overlap so that folded disks are doubled; this avoids building up the diameter excessively during transition through a small ID opening.

Steps (b)-(e) may be repeated plural times and at regular intervals.

    • A device for removing objects from a contained area or pipeline. A cutting means comprising at least one rotating, semi-rigid cutting arm of sufficient diameter, length, and material such that it is rigid enough to cut an object while having sufficient flexibility to avoid damaging an interior wall of said pipeline and to increase cutting area during operation. The cutting member, attachable to a shaft which is rotated by a standard motor, rotates concentrically with a longitudinal axis of the pipeline causing the semi-rigid cutting arm to move and flex during operation. The device may be employed inside a pipeline in both axial directions toward either end of said pipeline.
