    • The present invention relates to a retainer or holder for positioning a line on a structural component, a line guiding system for reducing sag in line guiding, and an aircraft having at least one line, which is equipped with a line guiding system according to the present invention. In addition, the present invention relates to the use of the line guiding system according to the present invention in an aircraft. The holder essentially comprises a main body, a bracing element and an engagement element. The bracing element projects from the bottom side of the main body and divides the main body globally into a cantilever section and a support section. The engagement element is adapted to be received frictionally locked by a reception opening in a structural component. A support for a line is located on the top side of the main body in the area of the cantilever section, through whose weight load the holder experiences a torque, which is transferred via the bracing element and the engagement element as a force couple into the structural component.

    • A pipe sealing gasket is shown which is designed to be received within a groove provided within a socket end of a thermoplastic pipe. The gasket includes a ring shaped body which, when viewed in cross-section includes a leading nose region and a generally planar lower compression region, the leading nose region being joined to the lower compression region by a leading sloped surface region which forms an alignment ramp to guide a mating spigot end during insertion and which defines an angle .alpha. with respect to a horizontal axis drawn parallel to a central axis of the pipe, the lower compression region being joined to a secondary seal surface by a vertical lip portion which terminates in a trailing surface which defines a second angle .beta. with respect to the horizontal axis drawn parallel to the central axis of the pipe. The presence of the generally planar lower compression region prevents the vertical lip portion from bending backward under pressure loading and wherein the angles .alpha. and .beta. are selected to minimize the insertion force required when inserting the male spigot end within the female socket end while maintaining a compression seal between the pipe sections.

    • A sealing arrangement for sealing a conduit for a gaseous or liquid agent includes a closable housing which fits sleeve-like around the conduit. A sealing member comprising elastomer material is arranged in the housing in an annular configuration therein and has an annular bead which projects towards the wall of the conduit. The bead has a sealing surface to be applied against the wall. The sealing member has an annular gap which subdivides the annular bead in the axial direction of the arrangement into a first radial bead portion at the inward side of the seal and a second radial bead portion at the outward side of the seal. The gap extends from the sealing surface into the annular bead at such an inclination that an acute-angled sealing lip is formed on the second bead portion adjoining the gap. At the inward side of the seal the first bead portion can have an axially facing annular groove of an undercut configuration which on the first bead portion forms an acute-angled sealing lip which is directed inwardly of the seal.
