摘要： The emulsion surface of a film may be damaged as it is pushed into or pulled through a dryer unit. Described herein is a transport arrangement for transporting a film through a dryer which comprises a conveyor belt for transporting the film, and air jets arranged above the surface of the belt. The film is placed on the conveyor belt with its emulsion surface uppermost. The air jets operate to hold the film against the belt as it is transported through the dryer as well as assisting in the removal of moisture from the emulsion surface.

摘要： A ratchet device is disclosed which includes a body, a ratchet wheel rotatably supported by the body, a feed pawl having an engaging portion engageable with teeth of the ratchet wheel, a support member for holding the feed pawl, a member for biasing the feed pawl toward the wheel teeth, and a drive device for moving reciprocating the support member between two positions to place the feed pawl alternately in its fully advanced and retracted positions, so as to rotate the ratchet wheel a predetermined angle in one direction. The ratchet device further includes a stopper member for contact with the feed pawl when the pawl is placed in the fully retracted position, to thereby prevent the engaging portion of the pawl from disengaging from the teeth of the ratchet wheel. Further, the engaging portion of the feed pawl is shaped so that it engages mutually opposed faces of the ratchet wheel when the feed pawl is in contact with the stopper member, to thereby lock the ratchet wheel against clockwise and counterclockwise rotations thereof. Also disclosed is a tape feeding apparatus which utilizes the ratchet device.

摘要： A sheet feeding device includes a vibration member having at least one circular-arc portion, for generating a travelling wave, and a sheet guide for guiding a sheet. Since an amplitude of vibration at an inner circumferential side of the vibration member is smaller than an amplitude of vibration at an outer circumferential side, a distortion is produced in the vibration member in a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the sheet. The sheet guide is provided at an inner circumferential side of the vibration member, so that the sheet is fed due to the distortion while being pressed against the sheet guide. Hence, an oblique movement of the sheet due to unevenness in the thickness of the sheet can be prevented.
