    • The present invention relates to a flexible receptacle for fluids, which receptacle comprises a cylindrical outer casing (1) and an inner bag. The casing is formed by a hose which is doubled up at one end of the receptacle so as to obtain a casing (1) with a double wall. The strength properties of the casing can be considerably improved if the casing in the portions positioned in the vicinity of the doubled end of the receptacle are twisted around the central axis of the receptacle with respect to the mantle face of the receptacle.

    • Four pairs of lifting panels extend upwardly from and have their lower end portions formed integrally with the upper edges of the side walls of the cargo bag. Each of the four pairs of lifting panels includes a pair of adjacent lifting panels positioned adjacent a corresponding corner of the cargo bag and the upper end portions of the lifting panels are folded inwardly to form multi-plies thereof.     • A flexible container for transporting and storing bulk goods, preferably arranged so as to be liftable by its upper end, is constructed from a tubular blank so as to include a shell, a bottom and a filling aperture, pleats being formed in the shell and having lower parts which are folded so as to be coplanar with the container bottom. The free, lower margin of the tubular container blank is closed by a bottom seam located substantially in the central region of the container bottom and the upper plane of each pleat is folded into the plane of the container bottom and affixed to the lower plane of the respective pleat by a connecting seam. On each side of the bottom seam, there is at least one supporting seam substantially parallel to the bottom seam. The distance of each supporting seam is advantageously in the range of about 1/3 to 1/4 of the half-length of the connecting seam.

    • An intermediate bulk container comprises an outer envelope (1 to 6) formed of flexible woven material and having seams (11 to 14). An impervious liner (20) of flexible material is contained within the outer envelope. The liner has tab means (27) lying outside the volume defined within the liner and secured, for example by stitching into a respective seam of the outer envelope. By appropriate location of the tab means on the liner the liner may be securely located within the outer envelope and prevented from distortion relative to the outer envelope.

    • A large bulk bag formed from a tubular blank of woven fabric having inwardly folded gusset panels along opposite side edges. While in the flattened condition, the blank is sewn along predetermined stitch lines and severed at predetermined portions so that, when the stitched and severed blank is expanded, it forms a bag of rectangular cross section having a closable spout at one or both ends.
