摘要： A method for opening a wireless communication session and providing an end-user with a free Internet session after they view customized content associated with a wireless access point (“Hot Spot”). In a preferred embodiment, an end-user opens an Internet browser after selecting an available “Hot Spot” displayed on their wireless device. The wireless device connects with the chosen “Hot Spot”, which then establishes a connection with a management platform controlling authentication and content unique to the “Hot Spot”. The management platform then transmits the content via the “Hot Spot” to the wireless device, where it is displayed until expiration of a pre-determined time. After the display expires, the end-user's internet session is opened via automatic authentication by the management platform. This authentication can be triggered either by the click of a login button appearing on the wireless device after the display expires, or by mere expiration of the display.

摘要： A method and device for providing a communication or chat session with a plurality of users, in particular for mobile radio networks according to Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) or Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) standards. A first user starts a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) session requesting an Internet Protocol (IP) address at the network. The first user then sends an initiation message including the IP address to a plurality of other users which preferably are selected from a mobile station's telephone book. Addressed users also request IP addresses at the respective networks and send a reply including the respective IP address via GPRS to the first user. After receiving at least one reply, the first user activates a chat session and all participants can exchange messages, preferably text and images, via GPRS or another packet switched service.

摘要： The invention provides an authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) a system and method for a plurality of wireless local area networks (WLANs) operated by a plurality of WLAN operators comprising a mobile communications device connecting to a terminal comprising an Internet access application program for accessing the Internet, a personal identification number (PIN) application program, and a unique identifier application program. An Internet access session is requested from the mobile device by activating the Internet access application program in the terminal. Entry of a PIN is requested by activating the PIN application program in the terminal, wherein the PIN is authenticated. If the PIN is authenticated, a unique identifier is retrieved from the mobile device by activating the unique identifier application program in the terminal wherein the unique identifier is accepted by all of the plurality of WLANs operated by the WLAN operators, wherein the unique identifier is sent to an authentication server for WLAN authentication. If the authentication server authenticates the unique identifier, the authentication server instructs an access server that the unique identifier has been authenticated wherein the access server instructs an accounting server to begin access fee calculation. If the access server determines that the Internet access session has ended, the access fee calculation is ended at the accounting server and a total fee is calculated from the ended access fee calculation.

摘要： A system and method for adding value into a customer's stored-value account is provided. A stored-value card is distributed to a merchant for distribution to a customer who has an account with a specific provider of goods and/or services. The stored-value card has an associated identifier that can be used to associate a stored value with the card. The associated stored value is redeemable with one or more providers, including the specific provider. The account has an associated account number. During a card purchase transaction, a central processor receives a request to activate the card from a merchant terminal. The central processor receives a redemption request from the customer, wherein the redemption request includes the identifier. The central processor identifies the provider and the account number. The central processor inserts the associated value into the account, for instance by passing a value insertion request to the provider. The central processor receives a subsequent request to activate the card from a different merchant terminal. The central processor recognizes the card, identifies the provider and account number, and automatically inserts the value into the account.
