摘要： A direct drive electronic ballast circuit suitable for a fluorescent lamp load includes a high frequency oscillator inverter circuit having a tuned output circuit coupled to a load and to a drive circuit series connected to the load and dependent upon current flow therein. The high frequency oscillator inverter circuit is also coupled to a pulsed DC potential source which is shunted by a charge storage and isolating circuit energized by a feedback rectifier circuit which supplies energy whenever the potential from the pulsed DC potential source decreases below a given reference level. A relaxation type oscillator is coupled to the high frequency oscillator inverter circuit and provides a starting capability therefore.

摘要： A push-pull switching circuit including two grounded emitter transistors 5, 6 controlled by a pair of AND gates 3, 4. The collector output of each transistor is fed back to an input of the AND gate controlling the other transistor, the remaining AND gate inputs being supplied by the Q and Q outputs of a flip-flop circuit 2. During the prolonged conduction of each transistor due to minority carrier storage, its lowered collector potential prevents the enabled AND gate for the other transistor from raising its output and initiating conduction, thereby avoiding overlapping or simultaneous transistor conduction.

摘要： A fluorescent lamp ballast circuit includes a tuned oscillator coupled to a pulsed DC potential source and to a transformer having a first winding directly connected to the oscillator and in series connection with a capacitor to form a series resonant circuit. A second winding of the transformer inductively couples the first winding of the transformer to the oscillator, a third winding inductively couples a load across the capacitor of the series resonant circuit, and a fourth winding is inductively coupled to the first winding of the transformer and clamps the DC potential source to a given potential level. Also, protection for open circuits, short circuits, and temperature change due to changed ambient conditions or increased current flow is provided.

摘要： A high frequency power supply with inductive coupling and a SCR starter to light two fluorescent lamps is described. It supplies high frequency square waves to the fluorescent lamp for improved light output, efficiency and stability of operation. The rectified line voltage from a full wave rectifier is fed via a SCR starter to two transistors that form an inverter circuit. The inverter circuit is coupled to a ferrite core autotransformer. The secondary windings of the autotransformer are used to heat the filaments of the electrodes of the fluorescent lamp, and to form a reactive coupling along with inductors for stabilizing the arc discharge of the fluorescent lamp.

The circuit includes two alternately conducting high-power semiconductor switching means having significant parasitic junction capacitances, the switching means being in circuit with a saturable core feedback transformer means for providing periodically reversing feedback voltage to control alternate switching means conduction.
