A second end of the body comprises alignment protrusions extending from the second end in a first direction. The second end also comprises clamping protrusions extending from the second end in the first direction. The clamping protrusions are a distance from the alignment protrusions equal to a thickness of the circuit board. A latch member extends from the second end. The latch member comprises a linear clip surface extending from the latch in a direction perpendicularly away from the second planar side, and the linear clip surface runs in a second direction and has a length less than a width of the receptacle.

摘要： A flexible circuit board connector includes a contact having a separable mating interface mounted to a contact pad of a flexible circuit board and a terminating end terminated to a wire. A housing holds the contact and has a main body including a wire barrel configured to receive the wire. A clip is coupled to the housing with an intermediate space between the clip and the main body. The clip is movable between an open position and a closed position. The intermediate space is configured to receive the flexible circuit board when the clip is in the open position, and the clip and housing are configured to capture the flexible circuit board when the clip is in the closed position. The spring beam is configured to be electrically connected to the contact pad when the clip is in the closed position.

摘要： A high speed flexible printed circuit (FPC) connector includes a housing with ground and signal contact terminal pairs arranged in the housing in a staggered manner along a lateral direction. The housing has a cavity for receiving an FPC board therein. Each ground contact terminal has an upper arm positioned adjacent to a top wall of the cavity and a lower arm positioned adjacent to a bottom wall of the cavity. Each signal contact terminal has only a lower arm positioned adjacent to the bottom wall of the cavity. Signal contact terminals with the only lower arm provide the connector with better signal integrity. An actuator is coupled to the housing for fixing the FPC board in the cavity to establish electrical connections. The actuator has recesses corresponding to the positions of the signal pairs to provide a dielectric constant different from that of the other parts of the actuator.
