摘要： A developing device includes a housing in which nonmagnetic one-component toner is housed, a developing roller which horizontally extends in an opening of the housing, and a feed roller which is set in the housing in pressure contact with the developing roller so as to form a nip portion and which feeds toner to the developing roller. The developing device also includes a feed stabilizing member which is in contact with a lower portion of the feed roller so as to form a second nip portion, and which restricts toner feed quantity. The feed stabilizing member is provided so as to extend from a generally triangular-shaped first region below the first nip portion up to one side of the nip portion opposite to the first region side. The developing device further includes a toner circulation path for pushing back toner from the first region through below the feed stabilizing member to a second region on the one side opposite to the first region side with an aid of pressure of toner that tends to accumulate in the first region.

The releasing layer is formed of an addition two-component liquid silicone having a polysilazane-based or polysiloxane-based chain as a main chain, contains 0.5 mass % or less of a component which volatilizes at a curing temperature of a liquid elastomer raw material, does not contain silica, has International Rubber Hardness Degree of 50 to 85 degrees, and contains a solid lubricant having an average particle size of 2 to 20 μm. The present invention also provides a method for manufacturing a blade for an electrophotographic apparatus by using the mold and a developer amount controlling blade having specific load length ratio and ten-point average roughness in which a blade member is manufactured with the method.

The toner regulating device may prevent inadvertent toner marks that may appear on printed media.

摘要： A toner layer regulating system for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus comprises a toner carrier; a metallic toner regulating member having a stress-strain curve prior to assembly with an elastic region, an inelastic region, and an initial yield stress value; and the toner regulating member supported in cantilevered fashion against the toner carrier so as to form a toner nip therebetween with an applied stress on the toner regulating member greater than the initial yield stress value. The metallic toner regulating member may comprise a metallic substrate and a coating thereon; the coating helping to form the toner nip. By deflecting the toner regulating member, when installed, by an amount that induces strains falling outside the elastic region of the corresponding stress-strain curve, the toner regulating system is less sensitive to geometrical variances.
