摘要： In one preferred embodiment, an electronic lock, including: an enclosure; a barrel member rotatable between locked and unlocked positions; electronic circuitry disposed within the enclosure; the barrel member including communication apparatus in electrical engagement with key apparatus when the key apparatus is inserted in the barrel apparatus, the communication apparatus transmitting communication signals to and from the key apparatus and the electronic circuitry; first slidable contact apparatus attached to the electronic circuitry and slidable on the communication apparatus as the barrel apparatus rotates to transmit the communication signals to and from the communication apparatus and the electronic circuitry; and the first slidable contact apparatus further serving as part of sensor apparatus to detect the locked and unlocked status of the barrel member. In a further embodiment, there is provided an electronic lock, including: an enclosure; and a barrel member rotatable between locked and unlocked positions, the barrel member being selectively configurable in the field to rotate one of first and second selected degrees of rotation. In yet another embodiment, there is provided a method of monitoring use of an electronic lock, including: storing in memory in the lock information as to who opened the lock, when the lock was opened, and for how long the lock was opened; and subsequently using an audit key to transfer the information from the memory to the audit key.

摘要： The present invention provides a cable lock and an universal hold-down support. The hold-down support has a holder integrally formed at one side and a C-shaped staying bracket at the other side. In practicing, the staying bracket is fastened on a seat support of a bicycle frame, the holder is used to locate the cable lock, in which two crossing through-holes are provided with four openings for the lock housing of the cable lock to be inserted therein as up-down and right-left side ways. The crossing point has a trepan on the side wall for the latch of the cable lock passing through and locked in the lock housing in order to locate the cable lock on the hold-down support. The cable lock includes two bayonet joined shrouds covering over a cylindrical body. The contact surfaces of the two shrouds are formed projections and sliding caulking slots correspondingly and respectively on each other as a bayonet plug and a bayonet socket, and there are certain location structures set upon between the two shrouds and the lock housing of the cable lock, and a dust cap as an escutcheon is hinged to the end of the shield to cover the keyhole.

The device includes braided cables encased in neoprene rubber, and a recess is provided at the midpoint of the length of these cables. A locking housing is basically cylindrical in shape and includes a combination lock in its center section while the ends of the housing are flared angularly outward and have two through holes which serve as receptacles for the cables. Finally, ratchet-like teeth are arranged along the length of the cable, and two spring loaded engagement levers are located in the cable receptacles within the housing. The cables fit around the steering column of a vehicle with the recess placed over the key ignition. The locking housing receives the cables in the through holes and is locked in place by the combination lock.

The locking apparatus includes a member which surrounds the cross bar and a means for locking and unlocking the member to the cross bar thereby preventing unauthorized persons from removing the member from the cross bar. Used with a conventional surfboard, the lock apparatus advantageously attaches to an existing leash plug cross bar, requiring no modification or retrofit to the surfboard, and attaches without removal of a leash cord which likewise typically attaches to the cross bar. Further, a cable secures to the locking apparatus and is looped around or affixes to a generally stationary structure, such as an automobile surfboard roof rack, bicycle rack, post, etc., in order that the article cannot be moved without first unlocking the member.
