    • A solid dissolver system for the treatment of waste material in a waste water collection system. The solid dissolver system includes a housing. The housing includes a cover and a platform portion for receiving the cover. A cartridge containing agents for the treatment of waste material is disposed within the cover, the cover substantially surrounding and enveloping the cartridge, the cover including an opening. A water inlet is provided into the housing, the water inlet terminating at a spray means disposed proximate to or inside the cover opening, the spray means being capable of directing water at an exposed surface of the cartridge, the platform portion being capable of collecting any effluent from the water directed at the exposed surface of the cartridge by the spray means. A water outlet for channeling the effluent into a waste water collection system is included in the platform portion. The cartridge includes an inner core and an outer portion partially surrounding the inner core such that at least one surface of the inner core is exposed. The inner core has a greater water solubility than the outer portion.

    • A combined treatment process of domestic garbage and sewage, comprising the following steps: {circle around (1)} sorting iron out of the domestic garbage; {circle around (2)} crushing the domestic garbage in which the iron has been removed; {circle around (3)} feeding the crushed domestic garbage into a sewage treatment tank, adding water and blowing air into the sewage treatment tank, where the domestic garbage is divided into floating substances, suspended substances, and settled substances; {circle around (4)} salvaging, dehydrating and drying the floating substances and then combusting them as fuel; {circle around (5)} collecting, filtering and drying the settled substances, wherein the settled substances having a calorific value of more than 4180 kJ/kg are burnt as fuel, the burnt substances and the settled substances having a calorific value of less than 4180 kJ/kg are used to replace clay material in a cement plant or used for making bricks; {circle around (6)} adding a flocculant into the sewage in which the floating substances and the settled substances have been removed so as to make the suspended substances settle, the suspended substances which have been settled are treated according to step {circle around (5)}; and {circle around (7)} treating the sewage. The process of the present invention effectively combines the domestic garbage treatment and sewage treatment, realizing the comprehensive treatment of domestic garbage and sewage as well as efficient utilization of resources.

    • A system and method for removing gas from a gas producing subterranean formation and removing contaminants from the produced water is provided. The method includes providing a mixture of gas and water gathered from a gas producing well. Thereafter the method entails separating the gas from the mixture to produce a gas product and the produced water which includes organics, suspended solids and dissolved solids including silica. Thereafter, suspended solids are removed from the produced water. After removing some of the suspended solids, the produced water is directed to a micro porous polymer extraction (MPPE) unit. In the MPPE unit aromatic organic compounds are removed from the produced water. Thereafter the produced water is treated in a membrane bioreactor to remove additional organics. Thereafter the produced water is directed to at least one RO unit that produces a high dissolved solids containing reject stream and a low dissolved solids permeate stream. The method or process described reduces the concentration of certain contaminants in the produced water such that the output or permeate stream from at least one RO unit can be used for frac fluid, drilling mud, or discharged to the environment.
