    • A vehicle control device includes a wheel speed sensor and a controller. The wheel speed sensor detects wheel speed. The controller estimates a sprung mass state based on information in a predetermined frequency region of wheel speed and controls an actuator to bring the estimated sprung mass state to a target sprung mass state. The controller calculates a first wheel speed as a reference wheel speed for individual wheels. The controller calculates a second wheel speed as a reference wheel speed of front and rear wheels. The controller calculates a third wheel speed as a reference wheel speed of all wheels. The controller calculates a reference wheel speed of each wheel. The controller detects that the estimation accuracy has deteriorated when a differential among reference wheel speeds of the wheels is equal to or greater than a prescribed value.

    • A motor vehicle has a plurality of vehicle wheels that are or can be mounted on the vehicle body by means of wheel suspensions. A wheel has at least one suspension arm that connects a vehicle wheel to a vehicle body and is pivotable about an axis, and at least one rotation damper having at least one damper element for damping the relative movement between a first mass arranged on the wheel suspension and a second mass arranged on the vehicle body. The rotation damper is integrated directly into the mounting of the suspension arm, wherein pivoting movements of the suspension arm induced by the mass movement can be transferred to a rotatable damper part of the damper element which is motion-coupled to the connecting element.

    • A load-carrying spring is coupled between a sprung element and an unsprung element. A magnetic lead screw damper is coupled between the sprung element and the unsprung element. The magnetic lead screw damper includes a magnetic lead screw arranged in series with an electric motor, and the magnetic lead screw includes a rotor screw and a stator nut. The rotor screw includes a rotor magnet assembly forming first helical magnetic threads, and is rotatably coupled to the electric motor. The stator nut includes a stator magnet assembly forming second helical magnetic threads, and a stator frame. The stator magnet assembly includes an axial length equal to an axial length of the rotor magnet assembly. Rotation of the rotor screw effects linear translation of the stator nut by interaction of the first and second helical magnetic threads.
