摘要： A film structure having an inner barrier layer comprised of a blend of a polyamide and ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer. The polyamide is present in the blend in an amount of from 15-40%, and most preferably from 25-30%. The inner barrier layer is laminated on each side with a layer of a polyamide. The preferred polyamide is nylon, and particularly nylon 6. In a preferred embodiment, the film structure is layered with an oxide or ceramic layer. Included is a method of manufacturing the film and for using the film structure to package a product in a retort packaging process.

In embodiments, the mold forms parallel optical quality flat surfaces. In one embodiment, a stiffening plastic is molded in the middle of the vinyl sheet between the parallel optical quality flat surfaces. In another embodiment, the mold forms one optical quality flat surface while the surface parallel to the optical quality flat surface is bonded to a prism.

The heat-seal film is formed from metallocene-catalyzed isotactic random copolymers of propylene and at least one other C2 to C8 alpha olefin, such as ethylene random. Such films show improved heat-seal characteristics, such as reduced seal initiation temperatures (SIT's) and improved heat-seal strength, as well as other improved properties.

摘要： An object of the invention is to provide a back sheet for photovoltaic modules that is excellent in various characteristics such as weather resistance, durability, water resistance, heat resistance, gas barrier properties, toughness and the like, and is particularly excellent in adhesiveness to the filler layer and in resistance to hydrolysis and voltage endurance, and that has favorable manufacturability and cost reduction capability, and a photovoltaic module using the same. The back sheet for photovoltaic modules of the present invention is a laminate having a front face side resin film, a barrier film and a back face side resin film in this order, in which the front face side resin film contains polyolefin (polyethylene) as a principal component. A voltage endurable film may be provided between the front face side resin film and the barrier film. An aluminum foil, or a laminated film of inorganic oxide layers may be used as the barrier film. Each film constructing the laminate may be laminated via an adhesive layer. The back face side resin film may contain PEN or PET as a principal component.

An embossed portion (A1) protrudes from the upper surface of the fusible layer (23A). A method (10) of forming a laminated panel with the fusible layer and the mesh layer comprises the steps of: i) heating the fusible layer (23A) to fuse a portion of the fusible layer; and ii) pressing only selected portion of the mesh layer against the fusible layer to provide for the formation of an embossed pattern (A1) on the resulting laminated panel (10).

摘要： The present invention provides a multi-layer polymer composition having a polar outer layer and a non-polar second outer layer. The polar outer layer is preferably PVC and the non-polar outer layer, polypropylene. The adhesive tie layer is a unique blend of a copolyester elastomer, a non-polar polymer, and a copolymer that contains functional groups capable of reaction with the functional end groups of the copolyester elastomer and that is totally or partially miscible with the non-polar polymer in the second outer layer. The multi-layer polymer can be advantageously coextruded. The non-polar outer layer can comprise the bulk of a fabricated part, with only a thin layer of polar polymer, providing desired attributes of the polar polymer at a lower cost.

摘要： The invention relates to a gas barrier packaging laminate (10) having durability to stress crack formation and yet a bending stiffness and good integrity between the laminate layers, comprising outer layers of heat-sealable polyolefin (16, 17), two polymer carrier layers (11, 12) each being coated with a SiOx gas barrier layer (13, 14), wherein the two polymer carrier layers with SiOx layers are laminated to each other by means of an intermediate polymer layer (15), which includes a thermoplastic polymer having high elastomeric properties. The required stiffness of the packaging laminate is obtained by forming a structural sandwich construction with two stiff carrier layers separated by a relatively thick lower density intermediate layer. Preferably, the thickness of the intermediate polymer layer (15) constitutes from about 30 to about 55% of the total thickness of the packaging laminate (10). The invention also relates to a packaging container such as a pouch or similar manufactured from the packaging laminate and to a method of manufacturing of the packaging laminate.

The emboss pattern is operative to preferentially convey sorbed liquid along the plurality of continuous sinuate compressed regions of the fiber web.
