    • A dust-collecting apparatus is described that includes a lift-off door assembly that provides access to the interior of the dust-collecting apparatus while minimizing the adverse effects on the normal operation of the apparatus by maintaining a proper seal between the interior and the exterior of the apparatus. In particular, the lift-off door assembly includes a top plate, a door frame, and a bottom plate. The top plate is secured to the door frame. Lift clips are provided about a perimeter of the bottom plate and are secured to the bottom plate. Lifting ends of the lift clips are positioned over an outer portion of the door frame, such that when a lifting force is applied to the top plate, the top plate, door frame, and bottom plate are lifted together via the lift clips to move the lift-off door assembly from the closed position to the open position.

    • Systems and apparatuses are described that collect dust from the air in a manner that maximizes the volume of air that can be cleaned, while allowing for easier transport of the dust-collecting apparatus to the installation site and improving distribution of air flow within the apparatus so as to provide for a more efficient filtration of the air. In particular, the dust-collecting apparatus includes first and second housing modules that are designed to be joined longitudinally to create a housing. The module having an inlet opening of the apparatus further includes an inlet baffling system that includes multiple baffle plates near the inlet opening that facilitate a cross flow air profile for the air entering the housing. Other components, including a target plate, a baffle support structure having support plates and cross supports, and hopper baffles, may also be provided to secure the baffle plates and enhance the airflow distribution.

    • An apparatus for the degassing of a dust from a synthesis gas produced by a gasification process, is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a main dust separator, a multi-purpose vessel, fluid for degassing and cooling and a storage facility for dust. The synthesis gas produced is conducted via a connecting pipe to a main dust separator, from which a de-dusted raw synthesis gas stream and a dust-like solid which also contains raw synthesis gas in the voids between the dust particles can be removed. The dust-like solid is directed into a multi-purpose vessel equipped with devices for reducing the pressure level so that a tail gas is obtained and a solid containing lower gas quantities in the void fraction remains. There is a device for transporting a solid into a gas exchange apparatus, the latter comprising a gas exchange tank, a dust separator and a feed device for exchange gas. It is possible to reduce the gas exchange tank to atmospheric pressure. The gas exchange apparatus has an outlet for a solid that has been at least partially liberated from raw synthesis gas, said apparatus having an upwards-oriented conveyor in which an upwards-directed gas and solids stream can be established. The conveyor has an open cross-section, a bottom clear opening and a top clear opening. A feed device for exchange gas which is directed into the bottom clear opening is positioned underneath the bottom end of the conveyor. The dust separator has a discharge device for a tail gas stream and a downwards-directed connection into the gas exchange tank for a solid liberated from raw synthesis gas.

    • A filter (15) has a cylindrical body (15a). The cylindrical body (15a) is formed by laminating a plurality of pattern layers formed into a mesh form by a wire (16) in the radial direction. By repeating the traverse of the wire (16) and the reversal of the traverse direction in one winding end portion (L1) and an other winding end portion (L2), a plurality of turnaround points are set uniformly in the winding end portions (L1, L2). The shortest distance (X) in the circumferential direction between a first turnaround point (B1) of the plurality of turnaround points in the other winding end portion (L2) and a third turnaround point (B3) at which the traverse direction is reversed immediately after being reversed at the first turnaround point (B1) is longer than the shortest distance (Y) in the circumferential direction between the first turnaround point (B1) and a fifth turnaround point (B5) located nearest to the first turnaround point (B1).
