摘要： A liner for a shower cap has a chamber or ampoule containing a predetermined quantity of a supercooled liquid exotherm compound and a small amount of the compound in the crystal form, such that the crystal and the liquid are separated until time for use. Upon action by the user, such as by bending or otherwise breaking the separation between the crystal and the liquid, an exothermic reaction takes place as the liquid crystallizes, releasing a known amount of heat to cause the towel to warm. Calcium carbonate is the preferred compound. A temperature indicator may also be included as part of the packaging. A hair cleaning compound is provided, such as a shampoo, hair conditioner, hair moisturizer, scalp conditioning agents or mixtures.

摘要： A temperature control system adapted for use with an article of clothing and designed to cool the wearer of the article of clothing. The temperature control system comprises a canister containing a cooling agent in its gaseous or vaporous state, a regulator for adjusting the flow of cooling agent from the canister and at least one supply line for delivering the cooling agent to an optimal release point. The canister can be an integral part of the article of clothing adapted to be recharged with the cooling agent or can be removable from the article of clothing, adapted to be refilled and replaced. The at least one supply line can be a plurality of supply lines delivering cooling agent to several optimal release points located within the article of clothing. The regulator enables the user to adjust the amount of cooling agent in order to obtain an optimal level of comfort. The temperature control system can be incorporated into any type of clothing article or apparel, including shirts, pants, blouses, footwear (shoes and boots), headgear (caps, hats, helmets), gloves and belts.

摘要： A personal thermoelectric Peltier effect heating and cooling device for heating or cooling a portion of a user's body utilizes a porous carbon foam heat sink secured to one surface of a Peltier thermovoltaic member. The heat sink is formed of a thermally conductive open cell foam medium through which air can pass and is partially enclosed by a shroud and a surrounding air filter. The opposed surface of the Peltier thermovoltaic member is secured to a flexible metallic thermal transfer band that is releasable strapped to a portion of the user's body. A miniature vacuum air pump and a battery are contained in a small enclosure that is releasably secured on another portion of the user's body remote from the thermal transfer band. A flexible tubular conduit connects the air pump inlet to the shroud and draws ambient air through the thermally conductive open cell foam medium. Electrical leads connected between the battery and the Peltier thermovoltaic member extend through the flexible tubular conduit. An on/off switch on the enclosure selectively energizes the air pump and the Peltier thermovoltaic member. A polarity reversing switch on the enclosure supplies selected polarized electrical energy to the Peltier thermovoltaic member for cooling or heating.

The hair covering may also have a stretchable band for providing a comfortable and snug fit around the head of a wearer.

An attachment strap extends between the first and second end to form with the browband a headband variable in length to facilitate snug engagement on the head of the user. A first tube is included in the browband and has a first axis extending between the first end and the second end of the browband. A water absorbent cooling material is disposed in at least one of the first and second tube to facilitate evaporation while cooling the head of the user.
