摘要： The hooded garment of the present invention has an integral, storable mask or goggles for use to protect the wearer against inclement weather, and particularly for use in outdoor cold weather sports, such as skiing or snowboarding. The mask has the shape of a filled-in, upside-down U. The edges of the U-shaped mask, with the exception of one to two inches on either end of the U is attached to the hood, preferably sewn. The mask attachment is preferably recessed from the hood opening but has the shape of the hood opening. When wearing the garment, the wearer has the option of wearing the mask or storing the mask flush against the inside, back of the hood. Further, the mask is versatile enough to keep as much or as little of the head, face, and neck of the wearer covered, as the wearer desires. The hood and mask can be worn loosely, or can be tightened by the drawstring of the hood. In an alternate embodiment, the mask comprises a horizontal separation, which runs across the middle of the mask. The horizontal separation allows the wearer to wear only the upper half of the mask over the eyes and nose of the wearer, to wear only the bottom half of the mask over the mouth of the wearer, or to wear both halves of the mask together over their entire face. The hood of the hooded garment and the mask preferably does not include cumbersome, and potentially dangerous, neck straps, Velcro, or too many drawstrings.

摘要： A heat and fire resistant respiratory filtration mask is specially adapted for protecting firefighters in wildland/brush fire environments. The mask is fabricated of heat and fire resistant material and includes facilitated fasteners for attachment to the head and face of the user. A respiratory filtration pocket is provided for accommodation of a respiratory filtration element such as a fiber filter. The pocket has a closable slit for accessing the filter for removal and replacement. The mask includes openings for exhalation valves of filtration elements and openings for ventilation through the nose and mouth of the wearer. Alternatively, inhalation and exhalation orifices are provided to accommodate a canister-type filter, with a filter cartridge of the canister-type filter also functioning as a fastener to the mask. In a preferred embodiment the mask is elongated to provide heat and flame protection to the neck as well as the entire facial area below the eyes.

The fan in the backpack causes air to be drawn downwardly from around the user's upper body and exhausted from the gown through a filter.

摘要： There is described an improved Clean Room System for use with a sterile surgical garment which includes a helmet having an inlet port and an exhaust port. Connected to the inlet port is a portable and mobile pressure filtering system for suppling filtered air to the helmet. A separate portable and mobile vacuum filtering system is connected to the outlet port on the helmet for exhausting and filtering all air removed from the interior of said helmet before exhausting the air into the atmosphere. An exhaust flexible duct is connected at one end to the vacuum filtering system and the other end is extended to a point below the hem of the sterile surgical garment but above the level of the floor. All air fed to the helmet is filtered and all air exhausted from the helmet is filtered and directed away from the confines of the garment thereby preventing reinhalation of the exhausted air and precluding oxygen deprivation to the user.

It fits loosely over the user's head, but is retained by elastic around the opening. A transparent plastic shield is located in the central section of the cap. When the cap is worn conventionally, the shield faces upward and is located on top of the user's head. Pulling the forward edge of the cap downward locates the shield in front of the user's face. This shields the user from contact with any body fluids of a trauma victim while the attendant performs emergency treatment.

摘要： A protective enclosure fabricated from a clear, flexible, plastic material that, in the event of an emergency, is easily positionable over the head and upper body of a wearer to protect the wearer from the adverse effects of a contaminated environment, such as that filled with smoke or similar noxious fumes. The top of the enclosure is sealed by a reinforced, relatively stiff closure member. Accordingly, an airspace containing a reserve air supply from which the wearer may breathe is created around the wearer's head. The bottom of the enclosure contains a fastener by which the enclosure may be securely tightened around the waist of the wearer. Each side of the enclosure includes an arm port through which the wearer's arms may extend. The arm ports are interfaced with an elastic material which is adapted to form an airtight seal around the wearer's arms when the arms are inserted therethrough. The protective enclosure may optionally have one or more filtering assemblies established therein through which the wearer may breathe in the event that the reserve air supply becomes exhausted. Hence, a relatively low cost, reliable, and easily operable protective enclosure is provided that can be folded and conveniently placed in a pouch for either storage or distribution, such as to the occupants of a high-rise building for use in the event of fire, or similar catastrophe.
