    • A seatbelt retractor includes a spool for winding a seatbelt; a locking mechanism having a locking member rotatable together with the spool in a normal condition and being prevented from rotating in a seatbelt-withdrawing direction in an emergency condition; an energy-absorbing mechanism interposed between the spool and the locking member for absorbing shock energy exerted on a passenger when the spool rotates in the seatbelt-withdrawing direction relative to the locking member in the emergency condition; and a motor for generating power to rotate the spool. A power transmission mechanism is connected to the locking member for transmitting the power of the motor to the spool through the power transmission mechanism, the locking member, and the energy-absorbing mechanism.

    • A seat belt retractor includes a spool for winding up a seat belt; a motor for generating rotational torque to rotate the spool; and a power transmission mechanism for transmitting the rotational torque of the motor to the spool. The seat belt retractor winds the seat belt on the spool with the rotational torque of the motor. The power transmission mechanism has a low reduction ratio transmission mode in which the rotational torque of the motor is transmitted to the spool through a low reduction ratio mechanism, and a high reduction ratio transmission mode in which the rotational torque of the motor is transmitted to the spool through a high reduction ratio mechanism. The seat belt retractor further includes a power transmission mode switching mechanism for selecting between the low reduction ratio transmission mode and the high reduction ratio transmission mode.

    • A liquid processing apparatus is provided to improve its processing efficiency, together with a liquid processing method. The apparatus further includes a case heat exchanger 90 arranged in an outer peripheral position of the inner cylinder 25 and allowing a temperature-adjustment medium to flow and a medium supplier 100 to supply the regulator 90 with the temperature-adjustment medium.

    • A variable attenuator is provided with a comb line formed of first and second lines electromagnetically coupled at a coupling degree of M, and diodes connected to the first and second lines constituting the comb line. One end of the first line is grounded through a capacitor and also connected to an input terminal through a capacitor. A diode is connected between the ground and the other end of the first line such that its anode is connected to the other end of the first line. The node connecting the other end of the first line and the anode of the diode is connected to a control terminal through a resistor. One end of the second line is grounded through a capacitor and also connected to an output terminal through a capacitor. Another diode is connected between the ground and the other end of the second line such that its anode is connected to the other end of the second line.
