    • An auto-injector comprising a housing arranged to contain a syringe. The syringe is slidably arranged with respect to the housing, a spring capable of pushing a needle from a covered position into an advanced position, operating the syringe to supply a dose of medicament, and retracting the syringe into a covered position and an activator. The spring is arranged to be grounded in the housing for advancing the needle and for injecting the dose of medicament. The drive spring grounded in the housing switched to its proximal end for retracting the syringe. An interlock sleeve telescoped within the housing. The activator comprises a trigger, wherein the trigger button is locked, thereby preventing actuation when the interlock sleeve is in its proximal position in an as delivered state and wherein translation of the interlock sleeve unlocks the trigger button so as to allow actuation.

    • The invention relates to a detent mechanism for controlling translation between two components in a longitudinal direction, the detent mechanism comprising a resilient beam on one of the components and a rhomboid ramp member on the other component, the resilient beam being essentially straight when relaxed and having a first beam head and arranged to interact in a ramped engagement with respectively one of two ramps, each ramp on one longitudinal side of the rhomboid ramp member in such a manner that application of a translative force between the components in one longitudinal direction with the first beam head engaged to one of the ramps in a first state deflects the resilient beam in one transversal direction when a predetermined value of the translative force, at least depending on the resilience of the resilient beam, is overcome so as to allow the first beam head to travel along one transversal side of the rhomboid ramp member on continued relative translation of the components, wherein the resilient beam is allowed to relax when the first beam head has reached the other one of the ramps in a second state, wherein application of a translative force between the components in the other longitudinal direction with the first beam head engaged to the other one of the ramps deflects the resilient beam in the other transversal direction when a predetermined value of the translative force, at least depending on the resilience of the resilient beam, is overcome so as to allow the first beam head to travel along the other transversal side of the rhomboid ramp member on continued relative translation of the components.

    • According to the invention, an injection device (D) comprises a pre-filled syringe and a safety device. The pre-filled syringe comprises a barrel with an inner cavity in fluid communication with a hypodermic needle attached to a distal end of the pre-filled syringe and a piston fluid-tightly sealing a proximal end of the inner cavity. The safety device comprises a support body for retaining the pre-filled syringe therein, an outer body operably connected to the piston, a needle shield and a releasable retaining means (R). The retaining means comprises a radial projection and a longitudinal recess adapted to receive the radial projection. The radial projection is connected to or integral part of one of the support body or the outer body and a longitudinal recess formed into the other of the support body or the outer body. The needle shield, the support body and the outer body are telescopable relative to each other. The piston is movable in a distal direction to expel a medicament contained in the inner cavity through the hypodermic needle by a manual actuation of the outer body. A telescoping movement of the outer body with respect to the support body is restricted by the retaining means (R) when the needle shield is moved with respect to the support body in a proximal direction from an initial position (I) towards a retracted position (II). The retaining means (R) is released when the needle shield reaches the retracted position (II) allowing for a telescoping movement of the outer body with respect to the support body to expel the medicament contained in the pre-filled syringe through the hypodermic needle.

    • According to the invention, a safety device for a pre-filled syringe comprises a hollow support body for mounting the pre-filled syringe therein, a hollow needle shield that is slidable relative to the support body and guiding means for guiding the movement of the needle shield relative to the support body. The guiding means comprise a flexible arm with a guide pin, a guide track and a separating wall. The guide pin extends from the flexible arm in a radial direction, and protrudes into the guide track. The separating wall extends into the guide track in a direction parallel to a central axis of the safety device. When the needle shield is slid relative to the support body the guide pin moves along the guide track to deflect the flexible arm in a lateral direction perpendicular to the central axis and the movement of the guide pin along the guide track is guided by the interplay of the flexible arm and the separating wall.
