    • It is an object of this invention to provide an electron generating apparatus which is hardly influenced by variations in driving voltage, an image forming apparatus using the electron generating apparatus, and a method of manufacturing and adjusting the same. The row wiring layers of a multi-electron-beam source (300) are sequentially selectively switched by a control circuit (302) and applied with a pulse voltage having a value about 1.05 to 1.5 times the maximum value of a normal driving voltage from a DC voltage source (301). The characteristics of all surface conduction electron-emitting devices of the multi-electron-beam source (300) are shifted to the high potential side. With this process, even when the driving voltage becomes high due to superposition of noise and the driving voltage, variations in electron-emitting characteristics caused by the voltage shift characteristics of the surface conduction electron-emitting devices can be prevented.

    • The fitting for the present invention comprises a fitting main body and a retaining ring, in which the fitting main body comprises an inner core having a plurality of large diameter portions form on the outer circumferetial surface and a flange and having a hole disposed to the circumferential surface of the retaining ring for attracting the retaining ring put over the top end of the plastic pipe to the flange; and the retaining ring, upon attracting operation applied thereto, moves the plastic pipe to the flange accompanying the retaining ring to insert the inner core relatively to the top end of the plastic pipe. The inner core diametrically enlarges the top end portion of the plastic pipe and compresses the top end portion in cooperation with the retaining ring. Therefore, the said fitting can simply and reliably connect the plastic pipe.

    • A bidirectional constant current driving circuit is connected between the positive and negative terminals of a power supply. This drive circuit has an input terminal and an output terminal with a load coupled to the output terminal, and with the current supplied thereto being controlled to vary in either a positive or a negative electrical direction. The inventive driving circuit has four transistors . A first and second of these transistors have a first electrode connected to the first power supply terminal. The second transistor has second and third electrodes connected to a second electrode of the first transistor. A third and fourth of these transistors have a first electrode connected to the second power supply terminal. The fourth of these transistors has second and third electrodes connected to a second electrode of the third transistor. First and second resistors are serially connected between the third electrodes of the second and fourth transistors. The junction of the first and second resistors are connected to the input terminal. The third electrodes of the first and third transistors are coupled to the output terminal.

    • A camera in which a plurality of photographic data are input by manual key operations is made easily operable with less possibility of erroneous data input by inadvertent key operations. The data to be input are classified into first and second groups in accordance with the relevancy of the respective data or the frequency of changing of the respective data during photographing operations. In one embodiment, first and second photographic data setting sections are separately provided at different positions and input keys included in the first data setting section are used for the input of the first group data whereas input keys included in the second data setting section are used for the input of the second group data. In another embodiment, input keys common to the first and second group data setting are included in a single photographic data setting section. The data input by the input keys are those of the first group with a setting data-indicating plate being at a closed position but changed-over to those of the second group with the setting data-indicating plate being moved to an opened position. A flat-type indication device for indication of the input data is provided on a flat oblique surface of the camera descending from the front to the rear of the camera to facilitate its observation.
