    • A method specifies a group of segmented functions of a plurality of segmented functions obtained by dividing a function of a module to be generated. The specified segmented functions commonalize a structural component of the module. The method classifies the input instructions into a select-input instruction non-inputted depending on an environment and a basic input instruction except for the select-input instruction. The method eliminates a combination of segmented functions in the group, the combination of the segmented functions corresponding to a combination of only the select input instruction non-inputted to the module. The method generates a combination component shared by a combination of the remaining segmented functions in the group, and generates a single component implementing a segmented function unclassified into the group. The method generates the module by linking the combination component and the single component with each other.

    • A fuel gallery has an inlet opening through which a fuel is introduced therein and a suction opening through which the fuel flows between the fuel gallery and a compression chamber. A pulsation damper is supported in the fuel gallery by a first and a second supporting member. The second supporting member defines an inner fuel chamber and outer fuel chamber which communicates with each other through apertures. The suction opening is located at a side wall of the fuel gallery and the inlet opening is located at a bottom wall of the inner fuel chamber which is defined radially inside of the second supporting member. The fuel discharged into the outer fuel chamber through the suction opening is introduced into the inner fuel chamber through the apertures. A flow velocity of the fuel is decreased and a pressure pulsation reduction effect of the pulsation damper is surely achieved.

    • A system for controlling behaviors of a vehicle is provided. The system comprises a first transmission device (for example, an ABS ECU), a second transmission device (for example, an engine ECU), and a reception/processing unit (i.e., a superior control unit). The first transmission device transmits a first time-dependent data to be used for controlling behaviors of the vehicle, while the second transmission device transmits a second time-dependent data to be used for controlling behaviors of the vehicle. The reception/processing unit receives both of the first and second time-dependent data and performs processing to ensure simultaneity between the first and second time-dependent data that have been received. The reception/processing unit also produces parameters for controlling the behaviors of the vehicle using both of the first and second time-dependent data which have been subjected to the simultaneity-ensuring processing.

    • In the production of a hollow cast article having a slit, the release of a hollow cast product from a mold is carried out while opening the hollow cast product. In one embodiment, a core provided with recessed parts (or projected parts) formed in a slit forming part (or an outer peripheral part) is used and the drawing out of the core from the hollow cast product is carried out while opening the hollow cast product by means of the recessed parts (or projected parts) mentioned above. By such a method, a hollow cast article having a slit and projected parts (or recessed parts) formed in a slit part or/and an inner peripheral part thereof is obtained. In the case of the use of a core having a slit forming part of a taper-shaped ridge of which width gradually decreasing from a large width at one end to a small width at the other end, the core is drawn out from the hollow cast product in the direction to the other end of small width to open the hollow cast product by means of the slit forming part of the taper-shaped ridge.
