    • An armored cable with a fitting at one end carries electrical leads which extend from the cable and the fitting and are connected to an electrical connector. A tubular body has a forward end adapted to be screwed to the connector such that its rear end is located near and forward of the fitting. A split ring or C-shaped ring is adapted to be located around the electrical leads with its forward end located within the tubular body such that a shoulder on the ring engages the rear end of the tubular body and the rear end of the ring engages the forward end of the fitting. A nut is adapted to be screwed to the rear of the tubular body and engage the fitting such that the fitting is securely held between the nut and the ring.

    • A latching apparatus for securing two electrical connecting means together in a given relationship, one of said electrical connecting means being carried by a member having an outer annular groove at one end thereof. The latch comprises a housing body which carries the other of said electrical connecting means. The housing body has a forward end with space surrounded by an outer annular wall for receiving said one end of said member. An inner annular groove is formed in the inner portion of said wall at the forward end of said housing body. The outer portion of said wall at said forward end of said housing body has three angularly spaced apart axially extending grooves formed therein which intersect said inner annular groove forming three angularly spaced apart openings which expose said inner annular groove through said three angularly spaced apart axially extending grooves. An annular coiled spring is located in said inner annular groove. A sleeve is carried by said housing body for axial sliding movement between forward and rearward positions. Three angularly spaced apart arms extend from the forward end of said sleeve for sliding movement in said three angularly spaced apart axially extending grooves respectively. In the forward position of said sleeve, said arms force the portions of said annular coiled spring at said openings into said space at said forward end of said body and into said outer annular groove of said member for latching purposes.

    • A device for testing the cables of a chaff-flare adapter of the type having a base member with a plurality of spaced contacts located inward of the surface of the base member. The device comprises a thin plate means which carries a plurality of contacts in apertures formed therein for engaging the contacts of the chaff-flare adapter. The contacts of the thin plate means are biased outward of its forward surface by coiled springs which electrically short the contacts of the device to ground. Each coiled spring has one end which tightly engages a contact of the thin plate means and an opposite end which tightly engages the rear wall of the aperture in which it is located for providing an electrical path from each contact to the rear wall of the aperture.

    • A current potential indicator for connection with electrical contacts for detecting with a minimum event indicator the presence of a minimum electrical energy potential available at the contacts, and a threshold indicator for sensing a selected quantity of electrical energy above said minimum energy level.     • A strain relief system for individually clamping the conductors extending from the rear end of an electrical connector. The strain relief system comprises a circular wafer having a plurality of angularly spaced slots for receiving the conductors to allow the wafer to be located next to the rear of the connector with a conductor located in each slot. A shell is adapted to be fitted around the wafer and threaded to the housing of the connector. Formed through the shell are a plurality of spaced openings for alignment with the slots when the shell is threaded in place. Inserts are adapted to be inserted through the openings into the slots for engaging each conductor and a clamping band is employed for surrounding the shell and engaging the outer ends of the inserts for clamping the inserts in place in the slots against the conductors.
