    • A system and method for establishing connection of an IP telephone to a network may include, in response to receiving a registration request from an IP telephone, generating a command to cause network access devices to ping the IP telephone. The command may be communicated to the network access devices. Ping information may be received in response to the network access devices pinging the IP telephone. A network access device may be selected that has the highest quality network access path to the IP telephone. In response to selecting the network access device that has the highest quality network access path, a network address of the selected network access device may be communicated to a network device to enable the IP telephone to communicate with the selected network access device. Credentials may be communicated to the IP telephone to register with the selected network access device.

    • A method, a device, and a system for sending and receiving messages are provided. The method for sending messages includes: receiving, by a Mobility Management Entity (MME), an Earthquake and Tsunami Warning System (ETWS) message; setting an information change identifier if the received ETWS message is different from the ETWS message stored by the MME; and sending the received ETWS message and the information change identifier. In the embodiments of the present disclosure, the MME decides whether to send the ETWS message to the eNB. Therefore, the eNB needs only to transmit the received message to the UE transparently, and does not need to judge the content of the ETWS message, thus simplifying the process of the eNB sending the ETWS message and reducing the load of the access network device.

    • An improved method and a communication means node implementing the method for load control in connection with a multimedia service transmission intended for multiple receivers over a wireless network are disclosed. The receivers in the wireless network are able to respond to requests communicated from an ordering entity by feeding back responses to a management entity in said wireless network. The feedback of these responses uses a different communication means, separate from said wireless network. This different communication means has limited communication resources. A transmission load caused in said different communication means by said feedback of said responses is according to the invention controlled by the different communication means itself.

    • In a method for optimizing exchanges of acknowledgement signals between a mobile equipment in asynchronous communication with a plurality of base stations of a cellular telecommunication network, the terminal sends data to the base stations and each base station is likely to return to the terminal a positive acknowledgement ACK or negative acknowledgement NACK. The method includes the steps of: synchronizing the mobile equipment with the network; and estimating quality of downlink communication between each base station and the mobile equipment on at least one standardized channel, such that if at least one base station returns an acknowledgement to the mobile equipment, the mobile equipment only requests a NACK from the base stations whilst the data is continuously being transmitted, and if all the base stations return a NACK to the mobile equipment, the mobile equipment only requests an ACK from the base stations during the current communication.
