    • It is an object of the present invention to provide hollow glass microspheres having particle properties of a low particle density and grain size properties of a sharp grain size distribution, having a high homogeneity and having such strength that they are less likely to fracture during processing. In the present invention, a glass material containing a foaming agent and containing B2O3 in an amount of from 9 to 20%, is subjected to wet grinding to obtain a slurry having an average particle size of at most 3 &mgr;m, droplets thereof are heated, to obtain hollow glass microspheres having an average particle size of at most 15 &mgr;m, a maximum particle size of at most 45 &mgr;m, a particle density of at most 0.5 g/cm3 and a grain size gradient of at most 2.

    • The invention provides an image processing device and method to simplify the operations in processing image data of an original color picture. In the case of creating embroidery data using the embroidery data generation device, or the programs stored in the storage medium according to the invention, the image data of an original color picture is first retrieved by an image scanner. Then, the number of colors in the image data is reduced, thereby converting the original picture into image planes. If necessary, a plurality of image planes are combined into one. The image planes are edited and revised, and later, formed into a composite image to be displayed. Finally, the image data of each image plane is processed for creating embroidery data. According to the invention, when an image plane is edited, the other image planes are automatically revised in correspondence with the preceding edit. Therefore, the operations in processing image data and creating embroidery data are simplified, and which leads to a savings of time and labor.

    • A loudspeaker apparatus includes a diaphragm, a driving part driving a diaphragm, a detecting part and a coupling member. The driving part includes a voice coil bobbin mounted on the diaphragm, a voice coil wound about the voice coil bobbin and a driving magnetic circuit generating a driving power driving the diaphragm along with the voice coil. The detecting part has its terminal voltage changed responsive to the rate of displacement of the diaphragm or the voice coil bobbin. The connecting member is cup-shaped and formed of a liquid crystal polymer material. The coupling member has its surface smoothly curved from the outer lateral side towards the center. The coupling member has one of the voice coil bobbin and the detection bobbin mounted on its outer peripheral surface and the other of the voice coil bobbin and the detection bobbin mounted on its mid portion. The driving part and the detection part are arranged coaxially. A detection signal of the detecting part is fed back to the driving part.
