摘要： A card connector into and from which at least one card is inserted and removed includes a plurality of contacts each having a contact portion adapted to contact the card, and a housing arranging and holding the contacts and having a fitting opening into which the card is inserted. The housing is provided with a terminal at one end in the width direction of the housing for achieving continuity between the card and a substrate and precluding the card from being erroneously inserted with its rear end or upside down, and the housing is further provided with a notch at a predetermined position for permitting part of the terminal to extend into the fitting opening. The card connector achieves its miniaturization and is able to prevent troubles caused by the electro-static discharge and an erroneous insertion of a card into the card connector.

摘要： A semiconductor laser device comprises: a first light-emitting element having a first laser part, an insulating layer, and an ohmic electrode layer; and a second light-emitting element having a second laser part, an insulating layer, and an ohmic electrode layer. The first laser part has a ridge waveguide, and is formed by stacking thin films of group-III nitride compound semiconductors (for example, GaN-based semiconductors). The second laser part has a ridge waveguide, and is formed by stacking thin films of group III–V compound semiconductors (such as GaAs). The first laser part and the second laser part are integrally bonded to each other by the interposition of an adhesive metal layer which is formed between the ohmic electrode layers. This provides the semiconductor laser device with a small distance between the light-emitting spots of the laser parts.

摘要： A gas turbine system burning heavy-oil modified fuel and a method of operating the gas turbine system, which covers from a stage of modifying heavy oil and producing gas turbine fuel to a stage of operating a gas turbine, including startup, ordinary shutdown and emergency shutdown of the gas turbine. The gas turbine system burning heavy-oil modified fuel comprises a reactor for mixing heavy oil and water to cause reaction, thereby separating and removing a heavy component from the heavy oil, a gas-liquid separator for separating hydrocarbon gas and modified oil obtained in the reactor from each other, a gas turbine combustor for burning the hydrocarbon gas supplied from the gas-liquid separator, and a gas turbine driven by combustion gas produced in the gas turbine combustor. The system further comprises another line for extracting the hydrocarbon gas externally of a relevant system region. The other line is branched from a line for supplying the hydrocarbon gas from the gas-liquid separator to the gas turbine combustor.

Inserting a wider and thicker card, the card engages and moves together with the slider into housing to contact contacts on one surface in the housing at a predetermined inserted position. Inserting a narrower and thinner card, the card enters an inner space of the gate-shaped slider, and while the slider remains stationary, the card arrives at a predetermined inserted position with the aid of a step having an inclined face provided in the slider, whereupon the contacting surface of the card arrives at the same level as that of the contact surface of the wider and thicker card so that the card comes into contact with the contacts to achieve an electrical connection therebetween.

摘要： The purpose of the invention is to provide a heavy oil reforming method which reforms a heavy oil to give a fuel suitable for a gas turbine, eliminates sulfur and vanadium, i.e., harmful components, from a heavy oil, and enables almost all the hydrocarbons in the heavy oil to be used in gas turbine combustion; an apparatus therefor; and a gas turbine power generation system using the reformed heavy oil as fuel. This method comprises reacting a heavy oil with supercritical water and then with a scavenger for sulfur and vanadium to eliminate sulfur and vanadium from the heavy oil. The apparatus for reforming a heavy oil is equipped with a reactor for reacting a heavy oil with supercritical water, a scavenging apparatus filled with a scavenger for scavenging sulfur and vanadium in the heavy oil, and a connecting pipe for connecting the reactor and the scavenging apparatus. The gas turbine power generation system has a burner for burning a heavy oil reformed with the reforming apparatus and a gas turbine driven by a combustion gas generated by the burner.

The connector includes at least one locking member movable or pivotally movable when a memory card is inserted, and at least one spring member displaceable when the memory card is inserted. In one aspect, a card connector includes at least one slider for forming parts of the plurality of inserting holes, and at least one holder for movably holding the slider. Consequently, the card connector is able to prevent the insertion of more than one memory card with a simple construction, to provide a miniaturized and high-density connector without any limitation of circuit board design, and easy to design its case and easy to remove the inserted card.
