    • Disclosed is a photothermographic material containing a silver salt of an organic acid, a silver halide and a reducing agent on a transparent support, which has, in silver iodide content distribution of total silver halide grains contained in the photothermographic material plotted with silver iodide content in abscissa and silver content in silver halide grains in ordinate, at least one maximum value in a silver iodide content range of less than 10 mol % and at least one maximum value in a silver iodide content range of 10 mol % or more. The photothermographic material shows low fog, little increase of fog and little sensitivity fluctuation during storage before light exposure.

This laser ablative recording material has features of a uniform surface state and a uniform film thickness profile, a small Dmin of the laser exposure portion, and smaller deviations in a maximum density.

    • A silver halide photographic material is disclosed, comprising a support having thereon one or more hydrophilic colloid layers, at least one of the hydrophilic colloid layers being a silver halide emulsion layer comprising silver halide grains with a silver chloride content of at least 90 mol %, wherein at least one hydrophilic colloid layer contains at least one compound selected from the compounds represented by formulae (I), (II) and (III); and at least one compound selected from the compounds represented by formulae (A), (B) and (C): ##STR1## wherein the substituents are as defined in the claims.
