摘要： A graphical user interface for performing color correction and methods for implementing the color correction are disclosed. The graphical user interface allows a user to adjust the colorspace of the pixels in the image. In one embodiment, a color adjustment pad allows the user to push the pixels from a particular luminance level a desired magnitude towards a desired hue. Pixels from other luminance levels are affected proportionally. The graphical user interface further allows a user to adjust the luminance of the pixels in the image. A luminance adjustment slider allows the user to adjust the luminance of pixels from a selected luminance level by a relative amount. Pixels from other luminance levels have their luminance are affected in a manner proportional to a difference between the selected luminance level value and the luminance value of the other pixel.

An indicia is displayed representing the zoom value in a thumbnail in a user interface. The thumbnail represents the video clip. The indicia displayed over a region in the thumbnail corresponding to the unstable segment in the video clip.

摘要： A method and apparatus for viewing digital images is provided. A digital image may be viewed using a digital image system that employs a virtual loupe. A virtual loupe comprises a lens region and a target region. The lens region and the target region may each be a bounded area displayed on a display. A user may position the target region over a digital image displayed on the display to cause a depiction of visual information associated with the target region to be displayed in the lens region. The user can configure the virtual loupe to display visual information in the lens region at different levels of magnification. The lens may automatically move and change in orientation with respect to the target region as the target region moves on the display to ensure that the display of the lens region on the display is always unobscured.

摘要： A method and apparatus, in which video clips (and optionally also still image and audio clips) are stored as digital data in a computer memory, selected clips are displayed in elongated tracks on a display screen, and editing operations are performed on the clips in response to manipulation of displayed cursors and icons to assemble and preview an edited video program. Preferably, the inventive apparatus is a computer system programmed to display video, still image, and audio clips, and special effect icons, in tracks along a displayed time line. The system assembles a video program from stored clips in response to arrangement of displayed clips and special effect icons in a desired sequence along the time line. The computer system is preferably programmed: to select a new in or out point for a clip by positioning a cursor at an edge of the displayed clip and dragging the edge relative to the time line, to select a special effect transition between displayed clips by positioning a transition icon in a special track in alignment with overlapping portions of the clips, to select special effect parameters by manipulating an icon in a special effects track, to filter selected video clips with a mosaic filter having user-selectable time-varying filter characteristics, and to control superimposition of an overlay clip with a main clip in response to manipulation of a level control icon displayed in alignment with the overlay clip.
