    • An electrolytic device for the generation of hypohalous acid in aqueous solutions includes at least a single liquid chamber for receiving an aqueous solution containing halide ions therein, the single liquid chamber having an exterior wall and a solid anode contained within to provide for the oxidation of the halide ions, which, in turn, provides for the formation of hypohalous acid in aqueous solution, and a gas permeable cathode forming a portion of the exterior wall of the single liquid chamber, the cathode providing for the reduction of oxygen to provide hydroxyl ions in solution within the single liquid chamber to mix with the products generated at the anode. An embodiment of the electrolytic device including an anolyte chamber and a catholyte chamber separated by an ionomeric membrane is also described, whereby the anolyte chamber further includes an outlet including a pH control for determining and regulating the pH of the exiting anolyte effluent to between about 4 and 9. The product is suitable for disinfectant applications including as a hand sanitizer.

    • This aligning device is designed to insure slotting the heads the long dimension from point to point diametrically of the head using opposed flats on the heads for such alignment. Two legs pivotally connected together at one end are disposed in straddling relationship to the space between the dial and a fixed slide plate in substantially tangential relationship to the dial and are spring pressed toward one another to provide sliding aligning contact of a longitudinally extending rib on one leg, first with a flat on one side of each head and later similar engagement of another rib on the inner side of the other leg with a flat on the opposite side of the head shortly before the blank arrives at the first of two spaced coplanar saw blades for the slotting of the head diametrically thereof in the turning of the dial. Means is provided for adjusting the spacing of the legs to suit different sizes of heads.

    • The unloader uses a combination of a plurality of auger and casing units arranged end to end and separably coupled together in a circular bin which has a floor provided with a center outlet sump leading to any means to carry loose granular material from the sump. A power unit connected to the first auger, is mounted in the sump so it can be rotated on a vertical axis that is on the central axis of the bin. The power unit also includes a hydraulic pump. The casings have openings in one side with manually removable doors for them so that grain may be received by or blocked out of the augers. The first casing carries a tank for hydraulic fluid near the pump. Near the end of the casing remote from the sump, a drive and support unit carries the casing and is hydraulically driven. The second auger and casing unit is separably coupled to the first auger and casing unit and extends axially beyond it. It also has near its outer end a drive support unit essentially like the one on the first auger. The hydraulis drive coupling to the pump is such that when the first auger and casing unit is separated from the second auger and casing unit, this will limit the supply of fluid to the hydraulic motor of the first drive and support unit so it can be used to cause the first casing unit to travel around the sump and remove the material from the center of the bin while the second unit remains buried in the pile of material in the outer portion of the bin. Unloading a bin by this method keeps the outward pressure on the entire circumference of the bin wall until center annular areas of the bin floor have been cleared and the outward pressure is lowered to a safe level.

    • For overland drayage vehicles having one or more pneumatically suspended tandem-axles (traditionally comprising a fulcrum supported beam and air-bellows), there is provided an auxiliary retraction assembly that automatically raises the tandem-axle wheels from the underlying substrate whenever the vehicle operator (during periods of reduced cargo) purposely reduces the air-bellows pressure. Preferred embodiments of the auxiliary retraction assembly comprise: an elongate leaf-spring including a restrained-length portion maintained as through a novel bracket at constant elevation and also including a flexural-length portion terminating remote from the restrained-length between the beam fulcrum and the air-bellows, and an upright connector such as a novel pivotal link actuatably extending from the leaf-spring flexural-length to the tandem-axle whereby the leaf-spring flexural-length becomes progressively lower as the air-bellows is inflated and becomes progressively higher as the air-bellows is purposely deflated whereupon a finite spatial gap is created between the tandem-axle wheels and the underlying substrate.
