    • A centrifugal brake assembly comprises at least one pawl, at least one biasing member, and a rotor. The at least one pawl includes a base from which a circular portion extends. The rotor includes at least one receiving portion having a notched portion configured and arranged to receive the circular portion. One of the at least one pawl and the rotor has a curved slotted portion, the at least one biasing member being seated within the curved slotted portion, and another of the at least one pawl and the rotor having a curved elongated protrusion extending in line with the curved slotted portion and the at least one biasing member. The at least one pawl is pivotable about the circular portion relative to the rotor, and the at least one pawl is configured and arranged to engage a stop member when the at least one pawl is in an engaged position.

    • A self-retracting lifeline comprises a drum including first and second sides operatively connected to a base. A rotor includes a receiving portion and is operatively connected to the base. A pawl is pivotally operatively connected to the rotor, and a biasing member is positioned between the rotor and the pawl to place a biasing force upon the pawl. A bracket member includes a cavity and a stop member extending into the cavity. The cavity is configured and arranged to receive the drum, the rotor, the pawl, and the spring. The drum is rotatably operatively connected to the bracket member and the pawl is positioned proximate the stop member. The pawl and the biasing member are held in place by the first side of the base, the rotor, and the bracket member.

    • A descending escape equipment comprises a descending device and a decelerating device. The descending device includes a shaft member which is wound around by two rope members in directions opposite to each other, so that while the shaft member is rotated to release one of the rope members, the other one of the rope members is retracted by the shaft member. The decelerating device includes a transmission member connected between the shaft member and the generator, and the shaft is being rotated to drive, via the transmission member, the generator that is loaded with the generator load for reducing a releasing speed and a retracting speed by a resistant moment of the generator generated by the generator load.

    • A self-belay device for controlling climbing and descending along a rope. The self-belay device comprises a hollow casing, a linear frictionless track fixed inside the casing and a braking unit disposed in the casing and mounted on the track for reciprocating sliding movement along the track between a first position and a second position. The braking unit is normally biased to the first position. The braking unit has a passage there through for passing of the rope. The rope is moveable through the passage in the braking unit in the first position, white the movement of the rope through the passage in the braking unit prevented in the second position thereof.
