    • The present invention provides a pneumatic tire 1, comprising: a carcass ply including a main body portion 11a extending across respective bead cores 9 and turn-up portions 11b each turned up around the bead cores 9 from the main body portion 11a; a bead filler 13; and a side rubber 5a, wherein: a tip portion on the outer side in the tire radial direction of the outer end 13a of the bead filler 13, of each of the turned-up portions 11b, extends to a position of at least 5 mm distance from the outer end 13a of the bead filler with maintaining distance of 1 mm or less between the main body portion 11a and itself; a turn-up end 11c is disposed on the inner side in the tire widthwise direction than a neutral axis of bending of a bead portion 7 and a corresponding sidewall portion 5 and at 10%-40% height of a tire cross sectional height SH of the tire; and the side rubber 5a, disposed on the outer side in the tire widthwise direction of the main body portion 11a and each turn-up portion 11b, covers the turn-up end 11c and constitutes a part of an outer surface of the tire.

    • A pneumatic tire has a first shallow groove extending in a zigzag manner at the shoulder rib and second shallow grooves extending in the tire width direction and arranged at regular intervals in the tire circumferential direction at inner mediate ribs and center rib or ribs. A wall of each section divided by the second shallow grooves includes a central wall surface extending from one end on an interior widthwise of a center main groove to an other end on an exterior widthwise of the center main groove, a first wall surface extending from the one end of the central wall surface, and a second wall surface extending from the other end of the central wall surface. The first wall surfaces of the inner mediate ribs and the first wall surfaces of the center rib or ribs are mutually opposed across the center main groove.

    • A pneumatic tire tread capable of mitigating air column resonance and maintaining drainage performance while ensuring that the flexible fences are abraded to a similar extent to the tread portion is formed from a rubber composition and has a tread portion, in which is formed at least one primary groove of depth D and width W having a base surface and two opposing walls, and multiple flexible fences of thickness E, which extend inside the primary groove such that at least 70% of the cross-sectional area of the primary groove is blocked and which are disposed at intervals such that at least one of the multiple flexible fences is in the primary groove in the tread contact patch when the tire is rolling, wherein the multiple flexible fences are formed from at least a rubber composition for fences that is different from the rubber composition for the tread portion; and the rubber composition for fences has an abrasion index that is more than or equal to twice the abrasion index of the rubber composition of the tread portion.
