In a case where the values indicate a second color scale representing second number of colors and does not indicate the specific image process, the processor receives and outputs the second scan data. In a case where the values indicate the second color scale and the specific image process, the processor receives third scan data in the third color scale representing third number of colors larger than the second number. The processor performs the specific image process on the third scan data, and converts the processed third scan data to forth scan data in the second color scale.

摘要： In an original reading apparatus, a conveying mechanism and a reading device start a conveying operation and a reading operation to acquire a read image when a detecting device detects an existence of an original. The read image is acquired in a first direction and has a prescribed width in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The first direction corresponds to a conveying direction of the original. A control device determines whether or not the read image includes an overall solid region with a single color. The overall solid region has: a length in the first direction longer than or equal to a prescribed length; and a width in the second direction equal to the prescribed width. When the read image includes the overall solid region, the control device outputs a signal indicative of incorrect detection of the existence of the original due to external light.

The image processing unit includes a sheet size candidate determining unit which determines sheet size candidates based on a width of the original, and a scan/non-scan section determining unit which determines a non-scan section and a scan section based on the sheet size candidate. The scanning unit moving mechanism moves the scanning unit at a first speed in the scan section and at a second speed which is faster than the first speed, and the scanning unit scans the image of the original in the scan section and does not scan the image in the non-scan section.
