    • A mobile communication apparatus with multimedia audio/video functions includes an upper casing, a lower casing movably connected to a backside of the upper casing, and an audio/video capturing module mounted on one end of the upper casing. The upper and lower casings are engaged with each other, and the audio/video capturing module is used to receive and sample an image and/or a sound source within an area, and then output an audio/video signal which is sent to a screen display mounted on a surface of the upper casing adjacent to the audio/video capturing module for displaying the image. The upper casing further includes a control circuit therein for driving an optical disk read/write module installed on the lower casing, such that the optical disk read/write module can process the audio/video signal and execute a data burning operation for writing the audio/video signal into an optical disk in the optical disk read/write module.

    • An emergency ejection device in a slot-in optical drive includes a panel with a hole. A sliding part disposes a pushing block on the path which passes through the hole into the slot-in optical drive. A guiding groove is disposed between the hole and the pushing block. The sliding part links to a loading/unloading mechanism and a rack on the sliding part engages one end of a gear set. The gear set includes a plurality of gears engaging each other one by one for transporting the power. A worm gear with a lead angle larger than the self-lock critical angle, i.e. arctan (μ/cos B), engages the other end of the gear set. A stick can put into the hole to push the pushing block backward to move the sliding part for ejecting a disc.

    • A disc device includes the following: a traverse base 5 that can be moved between a recording/reproducing position and a standby position, on which an optical pickup 2 and a turntable 1 are mounted; a front cover 3 including a disc carrying surface 3a and an aperture 3b; a clamp base 10 that can be moved between a first position that does not overlap the disc carrying surface 3a and a second position that overlaps the aperture 3b and includes a damper 11 for clamping the disc 4 to the turntable 1; and an open/close member 9 that is movably provided at the back of the front cover 3 and can cover/uncover the aperture 3b. When the disc 4 is clamped, the clamp base 10 is moved from a standby position to the position overlapping the aperture 3b, then the open/close member 9 is moved to open the aperture 3b, and subsequently the traverse base 5 is moved from the standby position to the recording/reproducing position, thereby clamping the disc 4 with the turntable 1 and the damper 11. This disc device can facilitate the loading of the disc and protect the traverse portion.

    • It is an object of the present invention to provide an electronic equipment of a high design property having an optical disc drive mounted thereon and an inexpensive and high-quality opening and closing mechanism for a tray door. The electronic equipment includes a front panel on a front surface of the equipment, and a link 25 rotatably engaged with a tray door 22. The tray door is provided with cams 22b engaged with cam pins 20b provided on the front panel to control the locus of the movement of the tray door. The discharging movement of the tray causes the link to be pushed and rotated by the tray, whereby the tray door is slid to below the tray with its upper design surface left turned upwards in the form of the movement controlled by the rotation of the link and the locus of the cams, and in this manner, the tray door is opened. The link is pressurized by a torsion spring in a rotational direction to push a tray for an optical disc, and when the tray is retracted, the tray door is closed by the pressurization applied to the link by the torsion spring.

    • An insertion-proof device for optical disk drive is provided to prevent other discs from being inserted in the operating disk drive. A slider moves back and forth along the optical disk drive to load and unload a disc. A push head is disposed on one end of the slider near an entrance. A protrusion is extended backward from the protection unit and disposed on the moving path of the slider. At least one supporting arm is extended from the protection unit. After a disc is loaded, the push head pushes the protrusion, so that the protection unit rotatably fixed near the entrance is turned upward to cover part of the entrance to prevent other discs from being inserted in the operating disk drive. When unloading a disc, the push head releases the protrusion, so that the protection unit leaves the entrance for the original position.
