摘要： Provided is a polyoxyalkylene modified vinyl alcohol-based polymer comprising a polyoxyalkylene group in a side chain, wherein the polymer has a viscosity average degree of polymerization of not less than 150 and not more than 5000, a degree of saponification of not less than 40 mol % and not more than 99.99 mol %, and a polyoxyalkylene group modification rate of not less than 0.05 mol % and not more than 10 mol %; and the polyoxyalkylene group is composed of a polyoxypropylene block and a (poly)oxyethylene block and is represented by the following general formula (I). Such polymer is excellent in temperature-sensitive thickening properties. (in the general formula (I), R1 denotes a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having a carbon number of from 1 to 8; either one of R2 and R3 is a methyl group and the other is a hydrogen atom; and 10≦m≦40 and 1≦n≦50).

摘要： Positive-working lithographic printing plate precursors have an inner layer that includes a polymeric binder having an acid number of at least 30 mg KOH/g of polymer to and including 150 mg KOH/g of polymer, at least 3 weight % of recurring units derived from one or more N-alkoxymethyl(alkyl)acrylamides or alkoxymethyl(alkyl)acrylates, at least 2 weight % of recurring units having pendant 1H-tetrazole groups, and at least 10 weight % of recurring units having pendant cyano groups. The use of such polymeric binders in the inner layer provides good bakeability and chemical solvent resistance. Such positive-working lithographic printing plate precursors also include an outer layer disposed over the inner layer, which outer layer comprises an infrared radiation absorbing compound.

An antibacterial dispersion characterized by containing at least one cationic polymer, at least one metal pyrithione salt, and at least one non-anionic surfactant. In an aqueous dispersion of the metal pyrithione salt, the non-anionic surfactant is blended instead of a conventional anionic component, whereby good dispersion stability can be maintained in a cationic polymer blend system.
